We regretfully must make the decision to close Saturday, July 19 due to the ongoing loss of water from the water main break. We anticipate resuming hospital operations Sunday at 11am.

Due to a water main break we must close early Friday. We expect to open as usual Saturday at 11am. We apologize for any inconvenience this causes.

Enjoy your picnic without feeding corn to your dog.

Did you know that dogs cannot digest corn cobs? Cobs can cause a potentially fatal intestinal obstruction. If your pet ingests these visit us immediately. Our urgent care team is here to help. Our vets perform surgery to remove these non digestible objects from your dog's intestinal tract.

On Father's Day we are celebrating one of our founders. Not only is he brilliant and has made Urgent VET Care the MOST technologically savvy hospital EVER (really, no joke, UVC technology rocks!), he's also an amazing dad!

For anyone with pets with sensitive respiratory conditions such as asthma, pulmonary hypertension, pulmonary fibrosis, tracheal collapse, laryngeal paralysis, and more please take note. Airborne irritants like this should be avoided.

Harford County is currently experiencing hazy conditions and a noticeable smell of smoke due to wildfire smoke drifting from New Jersey and Canada, eh. This may cause reduced visibility and air quality concerns across our region.

🔥 What You Need to Know:
• There are no active wildfires in Harford County at this time.
• The smoke you’re seeing and smelling is from fires burning hundreds of miles away.
• Our 911 system is receiving an increased number of calls about the smoke.

🚫 Please do not call 911 unless:
• You see visible flames
• You see a clearly defined, active fire
• There is an immediate threat to life or property

Calling 911 for general smoke or haze may delay response to true emergencies.

❤️‍🩹 Health & Safety Tips:
• Limit outdoor activity, especially for children, older adults, and those with respiratory conditions.
• Keep windows and doors closed.
• Use air purifiers if available.
• Consider wearing a mask if you must be outside for extended periods.

✅ Stay informed:
Follow official updates from the Maryland Dept. Of The Environment environment and the Harford County Health Department regarding air quality alerts.

We appreciate your cooperation in keeping our community and emergency resources safe. Happy Flag Day 🇺🇸
