🐾 Good Morning, Friends & Followers 🐾
First, I want to sincerely apologize for running a little behind on updates & posts. Life has been busy with personal matters, kids starting school 🎒, and family needs ❤️.
Last Monday, we had another Barn Cat Relocation — this time for two special boys: Isaac and Big Poppa. 🐈🐈⬛ They’ve moved to a beautiful agriculture residential area with a wonderful new caregiver who is committed to giving them the utmost care, including ongoing preventative vet visits once they’re settled.
As I’ve shared before, many of our cats have been with us over 1–3 years, slowly becoming feeder-friendly. Isaac’s story is a special one — he came to us a few years ago from a local property already caring for barn cats as a walk-on, the cats were not accepting of him and the caregiver was unable to take on another. His first evaluation showed hope for adoption, but when he went to another shelter, he grew anxious, hissed, swatted, and reverted to fear. 😿
When I brought him back home, he instantly relaxed, head-butting his friends like nothing had happened. 💕 That’s when I knew — Isaac is a true colony cat, happiest with his familiar friends and feeder. Big Poppa is just the same, so they truly belonged together. Big Poppa has been with us since last February, whom was part of my own trapping of a deceased owner colony that was on a property where cats were showing up dead and so needed to be relocated with us.
Now, they have a forever home where they can roam freely, stay safe, and live their best barn cat life — side by side. 🏡🐾
We’re so happy for these boys and their fresh start! 🌾💛
