The puppies are here, but Midnight’s work definitely isn’t over. Now it’s feeding, cleaning, keeping them warm, and doing it all over again every couple hours.

This is what mama life looks like with a whole litter depending on you. 🐾

What do you think is harder, giving birth or the weeks that come after?

Everybody sees the big Cane Corsos, but this is where it starts. 🖤

One of Midnight’s newborn puppies, only a few days into this world. Crazy to think how much this little thing is going to change over the next few months.

How much do you think this puppy will weigh at 8 weeks?

And just like that, Midnight is officially done. 🖤🐾

After hours of delivering puppies, cleaning babies, suctioning when needed, and making sure everybody was good, mama can finally get some rest.

Now the real work begins 😂

How many puppies did you guess she was going to have?

The first few moments after a puppy is born can get busy fast. Midnight is handling the placenta and umbilical cord while I’m right there suctioning and checking the puppy when needed.

This is one of those parts of whelping you don’t really understand until you’ve actually been there.

Could you handle this part of delivering puppies? 👀

Everybody loves seeing the puppies after they’re born, but this is the part most people don’t see. Helping clean puppies, clearing airways when needed, and making sure everybody gets a good start while Midnight is still delivering.

Whelping will definitely keep you on your toes.

Just when I thought Midnight might slow down… here comes another one. 😂🐾

No matter how many litters you’ve been through, every delivery keeps you on your toes. Midnight was handling business and these puppies were coming on THEIR time.

Puppy #4 definitely caught us off guard. Midnight had her own schedule and clearly wasn’t waiting on anybody. 😂🐾

Midnight is fine before y’all start thinking the worst. 😂 She’s just still drowsy from anesthesia and acting like she’s had the longest day of her life.

She’s good, just sleeping it off.

Rabies shot day. It’s not my favorite errand, but it’s part of responsible puppy care. I like getting in, getting it done, and getting back home.
