To rescue and rehabilitate homeless dogs through a compassionate foster network, and to provide education, resources, and structured support to individuals and families who need help caring for or responsibly rehoming their pets.

Exciting news - Crouton was adopted!! 💙💚

Once a matted owner surrender at the shelter, now Crouton is living his best life with a wonderful couple. He is going on walks with his new dad, taking lots of couch naps and has a best buddy named Charlotte who he zooms around with in the yard. We are thrilled for Crew and his brand new chapter in life. He is so loved!!! Happy tails, Crouton! 🐾

As our operations have ramped up, our team is growing!! We are looking for dedicated, organized and creative volunteers to fill three roles.

🏠 Foster Coordinator: match dogs to foster homes & support our foster community
🎉 Events Coordinator: plan our fundraisers & adoption events
📸 Content & Visibility Coordinator: help us tell our dogs’ stories online

Tine commitment is 5-7 hrs/week ramping up around intake, events, etc. Houston-based for Foster & Events, remote-friendly for Content & Visibility.

Lily is available for adoption!!! 💚💙🐾

In early June, she was a scared, mange-covered puppy handed off in a Walmart parking lot. Today she’s a full-blown 5-month-old teen. Loves chew toys, following her foster room to room, curious about everything.

She’s also very smart!! She’s had a training session and already picking up commands and tricks. Lily was also friendly with every dog and person she met at her first adoption event.

Lily still has puppy energy, so we’re looking for a home ready to keep building on her training and implement boundaries !! She may do best with a younger dog who matches her playful energy.

Lily!!! 💙💚

Can you believe this transformation?!

She is learning how to be a puppy and playing so much with her foster brother and her foster parents. She’s still building her confidence one day at a time and doing fabulous in new situations.

She’s only been with us a week, and we’re already seeing glimpses of who she’s becoming. Available for adoption soon and we can’t wait to show you more!

Welcome to Caro’s Canines Rescue, Lily 🌸💚💙

Lily’s previous owner found herself without a home and brought her to a Walmart parking lot last month to give her away. Our amazing foster and Good Samaritan, Denise, offered to take her home and nurse her back to health. We are so thankful to Lily’s previous owner for doing what she could given her circumstances and for Denise for stepping up to save a sweet puppy.

Lily is 4.5 months old and 34.5 lbs. She is extremely sweet, loving and playful. Her kennel is her safe space, but she’s learning to gain her confidence in the outside world. She will be available for adoption once we learn a bit more about her 💙💚

When we went to the shelter to pull our first BARC dog, Violet was the one we were immediately drawn to. We knew it would unfortunately be a challenge to find her a home because of how she looks. Bully breeds are not everyone’s first choice. But, they are some of the sweetest, most loyal and gentle dogs we have ever met, Violet included!

Violet is going on one month with zero applications. She is able to be transported to the Northeast, Midwest, PNW and potentially other parts of the domestic US if we find her perfect home elsewhere 💜

Crouton is available for adoption!!!🥰💚💙

Crouton was an owner surrender at the shelter due to his owner having too many pets. He was matted and desperately needed a bath. We fell in love with his adorable personality and precious face right away!

Crouton is a 1-year-old neutered male terrier mix and is around 15 lbs of a scruffy, confident and happy little dude. He’s been his foster’s shadow since day one and he made himself completely at home right away.
He has been amazing with all dogs in his foster home, ignores the cat and loves the kids. He is potty-trained, good in his kennel, and adjustable to whatever activity level you’ve got going on.
