Starting potty training with your pup? Every great dog starts somewhere, and yes, a few tiny accidents are totally normal!

The secret is consistency + timing. Take your pup out right after waking up, playing, and eating. Every successful potty outside = treat + celebration + your best “GOOD POTTY!” voice (trust me, they love it). 🎉

Keep trips frequent, keep the routine steady, and keep expectations realistic - puppies have tiny bladders and big hearts. If you guide them with patience and positivity, they’ll catch on faster than you think.

If you’re planning to slip your pup into a costume, here’s how to make it a fun experience - not a stress fest.

Step 1: Let your dog sniff and explore the outfit first.
Step 2: Treat the moment they touch or approach the costume so they build a positive link. 🎁
Step 3: Put it on for 30 seconds, reward, then take it off. Repeat, slowly increasing time.
Step 4: Always check for comfort - no tight spots, no face-covering, no squeaky pieces. Dogs communicate discomfort with licking lips, pinned ears, or frozen posture.

If your pup shows stress, skip the costume and try a cute bandana instead - super fun, less pressure.
