Help us create a world where there are no homeless dogs and cats. Support SNAP. snapus.org/donatenow/

The Morales family has had their fair share of scares this Halloween season. When their unspayed female German Shepherd came into contact with an unneutered male, they found themselves preparing for an unexpected litter.

Now, they're caring for mom and her puppies while managing the added responsibilities and expenses that come with an unplanned litter. They are committed to doing right by these pups and hope to find loving homes for each one. With shelters and rescue groups already at capacity, situations like this highlight why spaying and neutering is so important.

Furever in Our Corazones ❤

This Día de los Mu***os, October 27, we honor the beloved pets who have crossed the Rainbow Bridge but will forever remain in our hearts. A special day rooted in Mexican tradition, Día de los Mu***os celebrates the lives and memories of those we’ve lost, welcoming their spirits through love, remembrance, and cherished traditions. Comment and add a photo with their name of your beloved angel pet and help us celebrate the paw prints they left on our hearts. They may be gone from our sight, but their love lives on furever.

We will be collecting essential supplies that keep our SNAP clinics running daily.

When you donate items like toilet paper, paper towels, distilled water, or laundry detergent, you’re doing more than stocking shelves — you’re helping us stretch our budget so we can put more funds directly toward life‑saving veterinary care for the pets who need it most. Every donation makes a real difference!

Thank you to our amazing SNAP Vet Techs, and every Vet Tech around the world, for what you do!

10/21/2026

As you can tell our team is used to working behind the scenes, but they deserve all the recognition! Don't forget to thank you fellow vet techs during Vet Tech Week! We'll be celebrating at SNAP October 19-23, 2026!

10/20/2026

A veterinary technician (vet tech) is a trained veterinary medical professional who works alongside veterinarians to provide care for animals. Think of them as the veterinary equivalent of nurses in human healthcare. Veterinary technicians are involved in every step of your pet's care. 🩺🐾

From the moment a patient arrives, our vet techs help collect medical histories, assist with exams, administer vaccines, place microchips, and support our veterinarians during appointments.

They also play a critical role in surgery by preparing patients for procedures, monitoring anesthesia, assisting during surgery, and carefully overseeing recovery afterward. Vet techs help ensure every pet receives safe, compassionate care from intake to discharge.

Whether they're comforting a nervous patient, educating pet parents, or providing lifesaving medical support, our veterinary technicians are dedicated to the health and well-being of every pet who walks through our doors.

This Vet Tech Week, we're celebrating the incredible people behind the scenes who make exceptional patient care possible every day.
