🎃👻 HAPPY HOWL-O-WEEN FROM THE PARIS PUPPIES! 👻🎃

Six puppies. Six Halloween costumes. One very exhausted foster mom. 😂🐾

Paris's babies are making their Halloween costume debut, and apparently nobody told them that modeling requires COOPERATION!

We have doctors, nurses, cowboys, and even a tiny serial killer! 🔪🤣

Some costumes fit. Some didn't. Some puppies cooperated. Others had VERY strong opinions about this entire production.

But after much wrestling, bribery, and a whole lot of patience, we present...

Gigi, Amélie, Coco, Remi, Louie, and Henri would like you to know that they expect LOTS of treats for putting up with this nonsense.

🌹 THE LAST BACHELOR STANDING! 🌹

You know Renaldo, Cindy Lou's last available puppy!

His five brothers and sisters have all found their forever families. But somehow, this handsome, happy-go-lucky little fellow is still waiting.

And Renaldo would like to know WHY. 😂

This is the little boy who started life weighing just 3.8 ounces and needed to be hand-fed for weeks. Look at him now!

At 15 weeks old, Renaldo is a bundle of happiness. He absolutely LOVES people and jumps up and down with excitement whenever he sees someone.

He's looking for a family with another young, playful, small-breed dog who can be his best friend.

🐾 **JAX WOULD LIKE TO FILE A FORMAL COMPLAINT!** 😂

Apparently, Jax Turner is NOT HAPPY with the accommodations at LSSTLAR.

You see, Jax is a very sweet, playful little boy who thinks life should involve running around, playing, and having FUN!

Instead, he's been sentenced to crate rest.

23 hours a day. Seven days a week.

His only freedom? Four short, leash-only potty breaks each day.

And judging by the side-eye he's giving me in this picture, he's considering filing a grievance with management. 😂

Unfortunately, management is not accepting complaints.

Jax has had his heartworm treatment injections, and keeping him quiet while those nasty worms die is absolutely critical to his recovery.

So, sorry, buddy. The crate stays.

BUT THERE'S GOOD NEWS!

❤️ **Jax is officially accepting adoption applications!**

He won't be ready to go to his forever home until mid-December, but we can find his family NOW!

Wouldn't it be wonderful if this sweet, playful little boy had a family waiting for him when his sentence is finally over?

And we could really use some help paying for his treatment.

His heartworm treatment costs $800, and we've received just $11 so far.

**We still need $789.**

We didn't wait for donations before treating Jax. He needed medical care, and he got it.

❤️ **MEET THE 2027 CALENDAR MODELS — CARTER HARRIS!** 🐾

📅 **September — First Row, Last Photo**

Some dogs come into rescue, get patched up, and go on to wonderful forever homes.

And then there's Carter. 😂

Carter came to us from our county shelter after being HIT BY A CAR.

The shelter sent me a photograph of this little black-and-white boy lying in the grass. He was a mess.

And when we saw his X-rays, we discovered just how badly he'd been hurt.

**Carter was a broken little boy. Literally.**

He needed orthopedic surgery to repair his shattered leg. It was a major surgery, but we weren't about to give up on him.

And look at those before-and-after X-rays! Modern veterinary medicine really is amazing.

Carter recovered from his injuries, and eventually, we found him an adoptive home.

There was just one little problem.

Carter apparently hadn't read the part of the adoption agreement about being a GOOD BOY. 😂

He growled. He bit. And eventually, he was returned to us.

You see, Carter has opinions. STRONG opinions. And he's not the least bit shy about expressing them.

Some people might call him difficult.

I call him spicy. 🌶️

And I absolutely ADORE him.

So Carter became one of MY forever fosters.

He's not going anywhere. He has a home, he has someone who understands him, and he never has to worry about being returned again.

**That's something people don't always understand about rescue.**

Not every dog gets the traditional happy ending with a new adoptive family.

Sometimes the happy ending is simply finding the person who loves you exactly as you are.

Even when you're a little stinker. ❤️

Carter is featured in the September pages of our **2027 LSSTLAR Rescue Calendar**, alongside so many other dogs whose lives were changed because someone cared enough to help.
