Rigatoni was a stray that ended up at the shelter with a severely ruptured eye. Because his eye needed immediate surgical attention, he was placed on the euthanasia list.

Not on our watch! We gassed up our engines and got him out of there tout de suite!

Rigatoni is a 7 month old yorkie mix who is currently recovering from a double whammy surgery: enucleation (eye removal) and neuter. He’s on the mend and feeling much better already!

His emergency surgery with 2 nights at the ER for observation cost us over $3k and we could definitely use some help. We accept donations via

For us, Lyra really embodies the starfish story, an idea that permeates through everything we do. We cannot rescue our way out of this overpopulation problem, we cannot save them all, but we will make damn sure to make the most positive impact on those that we can save.

Lyra will have an incredible life ahead of her thanks to the generosity of this community of dog lovers. She’s only 2, has a lifetime ahead of her but was at risk of having that cut short because she needs expensive vet care. We were able to raise enough to cover 1 TPLO surgery and heartworm treatment. We will keep sharing her story so that we can fully fund her 2nd TPLO.

She’s a dream and we feel so lucky to be her guardians until she finds her forever home 🤍

Oh my, how this girl has grown so much in a few short weeks! She is no longer trying to hide away in a corner - she wants to be part of the action!

She has grown so much more confident - loves meeting dog friends and new people, enjoys going for walks and playing in the yard, and being everyone’s best friend!

Pebbles has also had some very healthy weight gain. She will be getting spayed later this week and will be available for adoption soon. She’s a GEM.

Welcome Sebastian!! When we saw his sweet little face peering at us through kennel bars the other day, we hurried up to find an exit plan for him.

Day 1 of his new future: stop for new toys, collar, food, and of course, some pets from new friends!

Sebastian is a very loving, dog friendly teenager who will be available for adoption soon!

Hey, it’s me! You don’t know me (yet) but I’d really like to bust out of this shelter. See, I’m a 9 month old lab mix who has no business being stuck in this kennel all day. I want to run and play and be a normal puppy! Can you help me out?

Sweet girl Sparkles is adopted and deeply loved!! She is now known as Honey since that described her best: incredibly sweet.

Sparkles is living the dream and we are so thrilled to see her living the life she always deserved.

Pebbles!!!

We are screaming. Our little girl is remembering that she is just a 10 month old puppy who should be footloose and fancy free!

Her incredible foster .thebullybros took Pebbles to a weekend at the lake with friends and dog pals. And our girl was loving every second of it. Nothing is better than seeing a dog who was so shut down at the shelter become a silly puppy romping through the grass at sunset.

Pebbles is doing great - we are still working on weight gain and confidence building. Once she’s at a healthier weight, she will be spayed then available for adoption!

🚨ATTN! We have an adoption event this Saturday from 1-3pm at !

Come meet some of our super cute adorable like Shirley Temple and Mr Handsome! Eleanor Rigby might also stop by for a few autographs and photos.

We are also featuring a fun guest, Shadow, a sweet and silly black lab mix under another rescue. Our motto: the more the merrier!

These pups are all wonderful with people and dogs and ready for their forever families.
