We are so so so behind on adoption updates but we love to celebrate each and every perfect match!

Gemma is now known as Edie and has been absolutely loving life since her adoption in May!

Once a super scared puppy on the euthanasia list to a hilarious, loving, silly girl who gets to do all the fun puppy things.

She’s living an absolute dream life and we couldn’t be happier for her!!

We are so excited to be partnering with our friends over Pearls for Pups Co. for a 2 day event with 100% of proceeds benefitting our rescue!

This incredible woman-run, family-run small business was created specifically to help rescues and shelters across the US.

Pearls for Pups Co. is a small 501(c)(3) non-profit in Maryland. The co-founders all work full-time jobs outside of Pearls for Pups Co., but this has become their passion project. They donate 100% of the net proceeds of sales to dog rescues and shelters across the United States, and have donated over $250,000 since their inception in 2017.

What could be better than shopping for a cause and supporting a woman-run small business!? Shop at the link in bio!

Paloma is still here in rescue and we aren’t exactly sure why her forever family hasn’t found her. But, until they do, we are loving her in foster.

Paloma is a 1.5 year old, 74lb cane Corso/staffie/boxer mix who is absolutely wonderful with all people and dogs. She loves to train and she is very in tune with her human.

Paloma recently did a stint at doggie daycare when her foster was out of town and she did excellent. After initially being a little shy, she was silly, confident and playful.

We absolutely love this mastiff baby. If you think Paloma is your missing puzzle piece, head to www.pippyspals.com/adopt

Yesterday, we were begging for help with our current bills. This morning, we woke up to texts that Amelie wasn’t doing well.

Every single donation that we have received goes such a long way in helping us help the dogs in our care. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts to each person who was kind enough to donate and share our plea.

You’re directly helping Amelie and all of the other dogs in our care.

Please send good juju to Amelie! We did X-rays, ultrasound, new meds, appetite stimulant and still scheduled for echocardiogram on Monday. She deserves this level of care. They all do.

If you’d like to help with Amelie’s bill from today and Monday’s echo, we would be so grateful!

We honestly hate these posts. Begging for money is the worst part of running a rescue. It distracts from what we care about most: providing our dogs with everything they need for the best life possible.

We pride ourselves on providing excellent medical care for the dogs in our care - we get them into the vet right away upon the first sign of distress, we work with numerous specialists, and we never hesitate when a dog needs a surgery or a specialty procedure.

But all of that comes with a tremendous cost and we are feeling crushed by the financial albatross around our necks.

Just these 5 dogs have cost us $24,585.23. This does not include their food, supplies, or the routine medical costs for all of the other dogs in our care.

We are desperately seeking your help. If you can’t donate, please please share!

Hugo Spritz has a new lease on life!

His skin is feeling a heck of a lot better after some baths and a good clip. He’s feeling lighter after some unnecessary bodily accessories were removed. And, he’s just loving life!

Hugo is an absolutely adorable 14 year old (acts a heck of a lot younger like 7 or 8) Cocker Spaniel who is as sweet as they come. He’s a Velcro baby who has shown to be great with dogs and cats. He’s potty trained, does okay in his crate, and does excellent free roam. A little sadness and slump when his human leaves but no destruction.

Hugo will be available for adoption real soon! Head to www.pippyspals.com/adopt to fill out an app.

Our Sloaney let us know it was time.

She gave us 6 beautiful months. She welcomed numerous foster siblings. And she was her foster mom’s constant shadow. She was our party girl.

To foster a dog is a selfless act. To knowingly welcome a dog into your heart when you already know your time is limited…well, we don’t know if there’s a word for that. It’s beyond selfless. It’s an act that goes so far beyond what the English language can capture.

To fospice is like tricking time. Providing a dog with a lifetime worth of wonderful memories in a timeline that is too compressed.

gave Sloane everything and more. She gave Sloane her whole heart. We are so grateful to have been part of their love story.

Thank you will never be enough. Thank you for taking a chance on a one-eyed pitbull with raging lymphoma and advanced heart disease. Thank you for showing her how beautiful life can be. Thank you for giving her the chance she was never given for 6 years.

Please send Kristina some love tonight 🤍

Dolly working 9 to 5, serving nothing but adorable.

Dolly has come soooo far in rescue. Just really underscores the importance of a dedicated foster home that is committed to a dog’s success. Her foster Maria Amaya has been putting in the work!

We are still fine tuning what Dolly’s forever looks like when it comes to medical. We have seen huge improvements overall from skin to GI but she may be a pup that will forever need management with meds.

In the meantime, she’s been a star student. Learning how to be a perfect pup with impulse control, a calm state of mind, and she even got accepted into a doggie daycare! She’s confident, she’s friendly, she’s a tornado of wiggles and kisses. And we adore her 🤍

Stories like Bruce are exactly why we love rescue.

Once abandoned on the streets, called ugly by passerby, and left to fend for himself, Bruce now lives an absolute dream life with his mama. He’s a regular at the farmer’s market, attends book signings, plays with his dog pals in rivers and mud banks, stretches on his own dedicated yoga mat, and is fiercely loved.

We can’t enough of Bruce’s adventures with his mom so we are sharing a little look into his life since his adoption in May 🤍
