Houston Area Doberman Rescue is a 501c3 that takes in dobermans in need from all over TX. We are always in need of more volunteers

We are the first doberman rescue in Houston and have been operating for over 10 years. We vaccinate, microchip, spay/neuter, and treat heartworms before the dogs are placed in new homes. Only dogs of stable temperament and reasonable health are placed through our program. We maintain vet records and keep the dogs current on a regimen of heartworm preventative while they are in our program. We look for the right home for each dog. Matches are made based upon the needs of the individual adoptive homes and the temperament of the dog.

“It’s KNOX! I have something wonderful news… I found my FOREVER home! 🎉

The day my mom chose me, I happily hopped into her car and settled in a nice cushy bed and have never looked back! Deep down I knew she was my FOREVER mom. ❤️ One of my favorite adventures so far, was my first trip to a park- I LOVED it! I zoomed around celebrating everything at once… a forever home, an amazing momma, and the security of knowing I am safe and loved. Truth is I needed this home, and I needed THIS mom.

A very special THANK YOU to Laura- my foster mom with HADR. YOU showed me people can be trusted, told me I am worthy of love, and gave me confidence when I didn’t have much. You filled my days with kisses, and helped me build the self esteem I needed to believe in myself again. When I wondered if my forever family would come, you told me my forever home was right around the corner… and you were RIGHT!

Now if you will excuse me…I have a comfy bed waiting, a dog park to revisit, and a FOREVER mom to love 💙”

DUTCH- HADR PUPDATE 💙

From his new dad:

“DUTCH loves being outside! He spends the majority of his days running in the backyard, and rolling around in the grass. When we leave the house he loves to take hikes, and visit the lake. He loves all water (except baths!!), with the garden hose being his FAVORITE for playtime day or night.

He loves all stuff animals, and tough toys like bones and his Kong especially when it’s stuffed with treats!

Dutch wants to be friends with every dog and person he meets. He is truly the biggest sweetheart. I love him to pieces”

We knew Dutch would need a strong guide in his new human, and we ALL agreed it was a perfect match within moments meeting his new dad! HADR is so proud of you Dutch!!!!
