Dear SAPCR Friends! We have assessed Hope’s cats and have an urgent timeline for finding them homes. If you are able to help with one or more of her kitties, it would be greatly appreciated. We can provide more information about each cat. Hope’s kitties and her dog Benny were the most important part of her life. Please call/text Brenda 714-404-4441 or email at [email protected].

This pretty girl is Sophie. She is an amazing 9 year old girl. She is rescued together with Miss Trudy. The girls came into out adoption program after their mom passed away and they ended up being homeless. Sophie loves people. She will give you kisses and will try to sit on your lap immediately. This handsome , eight month boy is Zainy. He is a recent medical rescue. He was rescued with an injury to the front left leg which had to be amputated . He is fostered together with our little tortie girl Ziggy and it has helped him a lot ! He is very sweet and balances Ziggy's kitten energy. He is available for adoption (preferably with Ziggy) . Three and a half month old long haired girl Granola was adopted May 24 by Janice and Tony. Granola's adopters sent us an update on how their new kitten is doing. "She's living her best life," is their report, and they sent this video

June 1, 2016:
Hope Shulz was a beloved friend and a big part of Save A Cat for many years. Hope had an aortic dissection in September 2022 that required extensive emergency surgery, nearly taking her life, and left her with many health complications that required a long recovery. Her faith in God and her friends helped her to fight through the physical challenges and she had greatly improved. She had found happiness again in her next chapter, but unfortunately she passed away last night at home.

Hope was very passionate about rescuing cats and providing them with new homes. Her personal cats will need to find new homes, and we could use your help. Her dog Benny has found a new home with her partner Doug, who she reconnected with at a high school reunion.

We will share more about Hope in a future post. A Celebration of Life is being planned and we will provide details later.
