Recently, my 10-year-old stopped by the shop to lend a hand. As a thank you, I offered him a bag of everyone’s favorite Swedish candy (we’re now stockpiling five flavors—no shame). Instead, he headed straight for our vintage kantha collection, picked one up, and asked if that could be his take-home treat. I laughed and said, “The last thing you need is another blanket.” His reply? “Mom, I’m pretty sure the last thing I need is a bag of candy.” We’re now the proud owners of another quilt—already earning its keep as a lawn blanket at lacrosse fields and a cozy throw during our nightly marathons.
