8th ride on this 3 yro Fancy filly & Gretchen goes for it 🤷‍♀️❤️

We have a competition between us currently. I am to take both futurity colts to Monty in June & let Monty decide who did the better job, Gretchen on Fancy or Myself on Ransom. Whichever one he picks is the one that’ll get to make a run at the remainder of the futurity year in reined cow horse😅 Its kind of a fun bet to have going with your own child!

Dad’s 1989 Fox Brady - some harvest clips from this year.

A relevant post considering we all live in a climate where grazing cannot happen year round, which leads us to have the machinery, to make the feed that keeps our stock alive in the non grazing months.

This is his baby to say the least. Handle with care and some feel ☺️

Foxy did 350 ish acres of haylage & 75 acres of silage this year. She’s paid for herself 10 times over as my Grandpa likes to put it.

I fully understand the need for new equipment but there is absolutely nothing wrong with fixing what can be fixed on the old, taking more time to do a job and not being in an abundance of debt where the shifty bank owns you and your left nut 🤷‍♀️

For Sale /// Josey /// Mid Teens Mare

Carried a young gal yesterday whose never rode a horse on cattle before😊 When I say this horse can carry anyone, anywhere, I’m 100% honest on that.

☑️well seasoned & hauled
☑️broke to all vehicles & farm equipment
☑️no big spook, minimal if does
☑️best suited for sorting/barrels/trails
☑️has neat buttons but not collection
☑️can live rough, not babied
☑️can sit forever and ride the same
☑️was a 3/4D barrel horse some yrs ago
☑️rides out alone easily for intermediate and above
☑️vices —- will pull back tied only when startled or scared but comes right back to you from it —- can be impatient when tied alone but stands all day with others —- trailers across the country or short distance just fine but does not like loading first unless she trusts you

The private group clinic booked with me yesterday was one for the books!

Not one minute went by where I didn’t enjoy handing my knowledge/advice to riders & their horses to help better them in areas.

The kids in the group were more than ready & willing to try. And actually dressed for the temps to stay focused and on their horse the entire time!!

We rolled through some basic mechanics tailoring to each horses certain area that needed some extra help, schooled on the flag for proper flag utilization and then onto working live 🦬 to apply everything we went through prior to that.

As a teacher, it makes your day to see children take what you’re teaching them, execute it and have better results in one lessons time!

Carley Rae Horsemanship does an outstanding job with her students. Remarkable to say the least and I was more than impressed with her group of young riders that school under her 🤓
