Look at this glowing boy! ✨ Richie spent Sunday afternoon exploring Hopkinton State Park and visiting making friends everywhere he went. He was calm in the car, enjoyed meeting new people, and even showed off some of his skills by practicing sit, down, and paw shake in a busy environment.
One of his favorite parts of the day? Watching the ducks, geese, and goslings by the water! 🦆 He was curious, friendly, and took everything in stride—including a loud motorcycle that didn’t faze him at all.
After a fun-filled adventure, Richie happily settled down and napped on the ride home. 💤
Volunteer Marilyn describes him as “the best boy,” and it’s easy to see why. Richie is ready to bring his sweet personality, good manners, and love of adventure to a family of his own.

As we kick off June, we're celebrating just a few of the incredible young changemakers who have supported Baypath pets through their creativity, compassion, and hard work.

Lizzy & Finn turned a handmade butterfly fundraiser into 121 lbs of pet food and 111 cans of wet food for animals in our care. 🦋

Tia and her Craft Club at Hopkinton High School used their creativity and problem-solving skills to organize a fundraiser supporting Baypath’s mission. 🧶

These are just two examples of the many young people in our community who are making a difference for animals every day. Thank you to all of the students, scouts, clubs, families, and future animal advocates who support Baypath.

Scooter is officially ready for adoption — and he’d love to meet you tomorrow! 💜

This sweet senior Chihuahua mix is one of many new arrivals who are now ready to start their next chapter.

Scooter spent much of his life living in overcrowded, unsanitary conditions alongside more than 100 other dogs. Despite everything he’s been through, Scooter hasn’t let his past dim his spirit. This little guy is a true social butterfly who loves meeting new people, making friends, and soaking up attention wherever he goes. His happy personality and spunky zoomies are sure to win you over in no time.

Scooter is ready to show you just how special senior dogs can be!

Tomorrow (Saturday), Baypath will be closed to the public for open hours as our team spends time getting to know and caring for some adorable new arrivals — including sweet Romeo, who is settling in and getting ready to be available for adoption soon!

While the pups & cats enjoy a cozy rainy day in, you can still keep an eye on our website and start the adoption process through our appointment-based model for any pets who catch your eye.

LOW-COST SPAY/NEUTER OPPORTUNITY FOR CATS! 🚐🐱

One of the biggest ways we can reduce the number of stray, abandoned, and homeless cats entering shelters is through spay and neuter. Every litter prevented means fewer kittens struggling outdoors, fewer overcrowded shelters, and more resources available for cats already in need. It also helps reduce roaming, spraying, and can provide important health benefits for your cat.

Our friends at the Catmobile will be in Framingham as early as this Tuesday and currently have room for cats!!

If you’ve been putting off scheduling your cat’s spay/neuter surgery — or know someone who has — now is a great opportunity.

Could Max be your reason to stop by open hours tomorrow? 💜

This sweet little guy may be shy at first, but give him a moment and you’ll quickly discover the affectionate, velcro cuddle bug he truly is. Max just wants to be with his people — whether that’s joining you for a walk, cuddling up close (even resting his head on your shoulder or lap!), or showing off his playful pounces after toys.

He also enjoys spending time with other dogs, whether that’s heading out on a group walk or simply hanging out with his canine friends. Max has also done wonderfully on field trips — riding nicely in the car, enjoying cozy indoor hangouts, and making himself right at home (swipe to see! 💜)

After over a year at Baypath — and the past few months focused on healing — Dottie is officially back and ready to show off her best self ☀️💜

Dottie first came to Baypath last year when her owner, a veteran facing homelessness, made the incredibly difficult decision to surrender her when they could no longer care for her.

Since then, Dottie has been patiently waiting for her second chance.

For the past few months, this sweet girl has been quietly working on herself behind the scenes while getting the care she needed in foster and recovering from a long treatment journey for her paws — and now? She’s healthy, feeling great, summer-ready, and officially back on the market 💅

Not only has Dottie been getting back to her best self, but she’s been getting in shape too! Long sniffy walks, enrichment games, sunny deck lounging… and her absolute favorite hobbies: SLEEP & anything to do with WATER 💦

Swimming? Yes.
Wading in the ocean? Absolutely.
Lounging in a baby pool? Her specialty.
Trying to catch hose water mid-air? Also yes.

Basically, if your ideal summer includes a dog buddy for lake days, backyard hose time, or lounging in the sun, Dottie is ready to clock in. While she enjoys walks and keeping up the summer body she’s been working on, Dottie is not a high-energy dog and does just fine with shorter outings and lots of lounging 🕶️.

At home, Dottie is equal parts smart, snoozy, and silly. She’s house trained, crate trained, sleeps through the night (so well, in fact, that her fosters sometimes have to wake her up in the morning!), loves food puzzles and sniffy adventures, and will absolutely keep you laughing with her dramatic snores and goofy personality.

Dottie would thrive as the only pet in a calm home with teens or older who will appreciate her independent spirit and let her warm up at her own pace. Once you’re in her circle? You’ve got a loyal best friend for life 🫶

After all this girl has been through, we think it’s finally Dottie’s turn 💜 And thanks to a sponsored adoption fee, bringing this summer-loving lady home is even easier!

A HUGE thank you to SiteOne Landscape Supply for selecting Baypath as the beneficiary of their Customer Appreciation Day for the second consecutive year! 💜

Associate Director of Development Ann Tomassini and Outreach & Shelter Support Coordinator Linda Mossman had a wonderful time connecting with Site One’s incredible team, vendors and customers, all while enjoying a spring day filled with community, compassion and delicious pizza from Wheat & Water Crafted Doughz. It was inspiring to see so many people enthusiastically sharing their love of animals and support for Baypath’s mission.

Attendees even went home with doggie life jackets and other Baypath goodies! We are so grateful to Site One for their continued generosity and partnership in helping animals in need!
