Laura's Hope Rescue

Laura's Hope Rescue LHR opened it's doors in 2009 and has since rescued and adopted out over 2300dogs and counting. If you can't adopt try fostering. What's that? No Fears!

We take in all breeds and ages and help turn them into wonderful family pets that anyone would be proud to call one of their family. We are currently in need of other foster families for when are dogs come in. Typically, they are with you anywhere from 1 to 3 weeks. In that time, you can teach your temporary companion how to love and trust a person and be the best doggie he/she can be! The rescue

will supply all the dogs needs. You say you can't have dogs where you live but would still like to help out. You can always come up to the rescue and sit and play with the dogs. Or, you could teach them basic commands, proper doggie manners or even teach them to walk nice on a leash. The options are limitless. Any love and compassion you can show these boys and girls will last them a lifetime. Would you like to help in other ways? The rescue is always open to monetary donations or if you'd like, you can pick a specific dog to sponsor until he or she gets adopted. We can give you a weekly update on how he/she is doing, photos included! If you prefer, you can donate supplies too! Leashes and harnesses are always in high demand. So are small area rugs or pillows for our furry friends to sleep on. Whatever it is, know the dogs will love it and be FURever grateful. Where can you see these precious beings? Well check us out at www.Petfinder.com/shelters/PA714.html

What an incredible weekend! I want to personally thank everyone who stopped by our tent and shared adoption stories, talked about being followers, mentioned the first dog they started following, and reminisced about our beloved Debbie Higgins. Many tears were shed, and Bentley reunited with many old friends. To our Factoryville friends, your generosity, hospitality, and support meant everything to us. The love you showed us in memory of Debbie was deeply emotional and truly humbling.

To those who volunteered and braved the cold to raise money for the Debbie Higgins Spay and Neuter Fund: You are more than volunteers, you are family, and I love each and every one of you.

The total amount deposited today, including Venmo and PayPal donations, is $1,674.00.

If you are in need of help spaying or neutering your dog. Please reach out to us. We would like to help.

Even when I talk about my dogs I have lost ❤️

When I talk about the person I lost, it’s not for sympathy.
It’s because remembering them is the only way I still get to love them out loud.

Some people think sharing memories means I’m “stuck.”
But truthfully…it’s how I keep their presence woven into the world.
It’s how I honor the life that mattered.
It’s how I refuse to let their story fade in silence.

I don’t post because I want people to feel sorry for me.
I post because their name deserves to be spoken.
Their life deserves to be remembered.
And my heart deserves a place to put the love that didn’t disappear when they did. 💔
