Laura's Hope Rescue

Laura's Hope Rescue LHR opened it's doors in 2009 and has since rescued and adopted out over 2300dogs and counting. If you can't adopt try fostering. What's that? No Fears!

We take in all breeds and ages and help turn them into wonderful family pets that anyone would be proud to call one of their family. We are currently in need of other foster families for when are dogs come in. Typically, they are with you anywhere from 1 to 3 weeks. In that time, you can teach your temporary companion how to love and trust a person and be the best doggie he/she can be! The rescue

will supply all the dogs needs. You say you can't have dogs where you live but would still like to help out. You can always come up to the rescue and sit and play with the dogs. Or, you could teach them basic commands, proper doggie manners or even teach them to walk nice on a leash. The options are limitless. Any love and compassion you can show these boys and girls will last them a lifetime. Would you like to help in other ways? The rescue is always open to monetary donations or if you'd like, you can pick a specific dog to sponsor until he or she gets adopted. We can give you a weekly update on how he/she is doing, photos included! If you prefer, you can donate supplies too! Leashes and harnesses are always in high demand. So are small area rugs or pillows for our furry friends to sleep on. Whatever it is, know the dogs will love it and be FURever grateful. Where can you see these precious beings? Well check us out at www.Petfinder.com/shelters/PA714.html
Well I'm glad you asked. In order to adopt, after checking out our wonderful dogs, First you need to go online to our petfinder account and fill out an application. Thank you to Dr. Farr and the staff at CDV Urgent Care for the care provided to Wonder during the removal of a hook from her mouth. The service was professional, reasonably priced, and valuable to the community.
And wonder said “no more trying to pierce her tongue”

Headed to CDV urgent care with Wonder . She snapped at Don’s lure And pierced her tongue!

Hi Grace! In 2015 we adopted Goose from you (was Scruffy). Laurie Grant fostered him for you and that’s where we picked him up on adoption day! He has been loved by us for 10 years now! He had a rough winter and was limping quite a bit on his back leg- which we thought was arthritis. Warmer weather has not made it any better so we had a vet visit on Friday where we learned he has a torn ACL. In addition to the ACL, we also found out his heart murmur has worsened from a 3 in October to a 4/4.5 now. We will do our best to give him a comfortable life with supplements and anti-inflammatory. He’s such a good boy! Just wanted to let you know this info and how grateful we are that you chose us to adopt him! I’ll send along some recent photos! He’s still as handsome as ever!
