Special tomorrow! We will be offering oyster, shiitake, and lion's mane mushrooms at the Honolulu Farmers' market from 4-7 p.m. and the KCC market on Saturday from 7:30 - 11:00 a.m while supplies last. Locally grown by Aloha Mushroom Company, these are fresh and very tasty. We're hoping this will be a regular item for us, so please come and try them out.

Reposted from Aloha everyone, due to the cancellation of outdoor events by the University of Hawaii, our is cancelled for this weekend. Our Sunday Mililani market is still scheduled from 8-11 at Mililani High School. Mahalo for understanding!

Great turnout at Ag Day at the Capitol. We're talking about our vertical greenhouse project and plans to build a facility at UH Manoa. Funding is available, just waiting on the Governor's office approval. Help spread the word about controlled environment agriculture.

Plants are cool! Red veined sorrel leaf looking even more dramatic than usual. Science lesson for today: this an example of a chimera, a genetic variation that happens in plants fairly often, but is rare in animals. In this case one half of the leaf does produce chlorophyll, but the other half doesn't.
