We have an immediate need for up to two workers for our farmers' market booth on Wednesday afternoons and Saturday mornings. Should have vehicle to transport stuff to and from the markets. DM for more info.

Hydroponic system update. Four months in and our lettuce tower at Kaimuki High School is cranking out beautiful Salanova lettuce consistently. Only one application of time release fertilizer so far, no runoff, no chemical pesticides, automatic irrigation, totally solar powered. Been handling the summer heat nicely, thank goodness we opted for the insect screen side walls and a roof vent on the greenhouse.
We believe this is a great and sustainable solution to add to local produce production in our state. Please contact us if you are interested in helping us scale and expand.

Come on down Wednesday afternoon to get your new favorite summer drink! Delicious ume shiso syrup blended with lemon and ice. Top it with our local style "crack seed" ume shiso sprinkles for the ultimate sweet, salty and sour treat.

Anybody know where I can get some Wolffia globosa? It is also known as watermeal, water lentil, duckweed, and khai-nam. It floats on still fresh water (ponds, drainage ditches) and forms thick beds. It looks like the more common Lemna duckweed, but is much smaller and has no visible root. I want to do some grow tests in a hydroponic system. Comment or DM me .

Had a great time on the Sustaining Hawaii Radio Show on KHVH with host Rick Hamada. Got to talk about my favorite topic, vertical farming and share the show with Chu Hong and Kaiah Clements from .worms.club to talk about our vertical greenhouse project and all the other fantastic sustainability projects happening at Kaimuki High School. The recordings usually show up at the Bayer Hawaii website (https://bayer
com/en/us/hawaii-on-air) about a month after the broadcast if you want to check it or any of the other interesting broadcasts they host.

I promised plants and here they are! Transplants from MetroGrow Hawaii's indoor vertical farm taking off in Kaimuki's Sky Greens towers. Almost ready for our first harvest.

Now available at the Kakaako Farmers' Market ()! Pineapple mint lemonade. Our homemade syrup combines fresh Hawaiian pineapple, fresh mint, and pure cane sugar. Add fresh squeezed lemons and your choice of plain or sparkling water for a refreshing taste treat. Did I mention it's fresh?

Had a great dinner at Fete with some visiting relatives, including this delicious Vitello Tonnato salad with MetroGrow Hawaii sweet crisp lettuce. Local veal and ahi belly (in the aioli) add even more "localness" to the dish.
