Indoor vertical farms are pretty resilient. We're resistant to bad weather, droughts, pest infestations and biological contaminants. Unfortunately our weakness is power outages and 2 1/4 days without electricity as a result of Lala really put our production schedule out of whack. We're doing our best to catch up, but we will need to take a break from the farmers' markets on Aug 26 at Blaisdell and Aug 29 at KCC. We should be back next week and look forward to seeing you then. It's back! We have a few bags of lion's mane mushrooms for sale at today's market and hopefully at KCC on Saturday. This unique looking variety is dense and meaty, it can be seasoned and pan fried using your favorite steak recipe. Lion's mane is also reported to have brain health benefits, we have one bag of dehydrated powder to add to coffee or smoothies.

Special tomorrow! We will be offering oyster, shiitake, and lion's mane mushrooms at the Honolulu Farmers' market from 4-7 p.m. and the KCC market on Saturday from 7:30 - 11:00 a.m while supplies last. Locally grown by Aloha Mushroom Company, these are fresh and very tasty. We're hoping this will be a regular item for us, so please come and try them out.
