BIG impact. Real change. Real numbers.

At Fertile Earth, we are transforming food waste into living soil and a healthier future for our communities.

β˜• 39,000 pounds of coffee grounds saved from the landfill
Enough grounds to brew over 3 MILLION cups of coffee

πŸ₯¬ 50,000+ pounds of lettuce diverted
That’s about the weight of 4 African elephants

🍊 6,000 pounds of oranges rescued
Enough citrus to make over 10,000 brunch mimosas πŸ₯‚βœ¨

Instead of becoming landfill waste and producing harmful methane emissions, these food scraps were returned to the Earth as nutrient-rich compost that helps feed our soil and regenerate our environment. 🌱

This is what sustainability in action looks like.

.carlosj.finlay what an absolutely amazing day! A field trip where all the students learned about saving our plannet one step at a time through Composting. The students got to plant beans, okra and flowers! They enjoyed sampling herbs, fruits, and learned about the environmental impact of disposing food in a landfil. We are so proud of the students and are happy to be part of this experience!

What an incredible day of learning, growth, and community!
A heartfelt THANK YOU to everyone who participated in our Agricultural Compost Workshop and helped make this experience such a powerful success. From farmers and gardeners to sustainability advocates and curious minds, your energy, questions, and passion for regenerative agriculture reminded us why this work matters so deeply.

Together, we explored the power of composting, soil health, microbial life, and sustainable farming practices that help nourish our earth for generations to come. Every conversation, every hands-on moment, and every connection planted seeds for a greener future.

Special gratitude to all of our attendees, speakers, volunteers, and supporters who showed up with open hearts and a willingness to learn and grow together. This is only the beginning!
At Fertile Earth Worm Farm we believe healthy soil creates healthy communities and together, we are building both.

🐝🌻 In honor of World Bee Day, we’re celebrating the powerful connection between pollinators above the soil and the living microbes below it.

Last week, The Hive visited Fertile Earth Worm Farm and truly embodied their name. 🐝

The students explored microbes, composting, soil energy, and how nature transforms food scraps into nutrient-rich living soil. Just like a hive works together to create life, they learned how the smallest organisms can make the biggest impact on our planet. πŸŒ±β™»οΈ

Watching these young minds connect with nature was a beautiful reminder that sustainability is more than science it’s legacy. πŸ’›
