💙 Mission & Impact at a Glance
K9s4U is a non-profit, foster-home–based dog rescue founded by a group of friends determined to save dogs from high-kill shelters and dire situations.
* They operate across the Northern Illinois area, placing dogs into loving furever homes while relying on a network of fosters, donations, and community support.
* To date, K9s4U has saved the lives of over 5,700 dogs (and counting) thanks to caring fosters, donors, and volunteers.
🐶 How They Operate & What They Provide
* As a foster-only rescue, every dog in their care lives in a home environment—not a shelter—so they can be socialized, observed, and nurtured as they await adoption.
* All adoptable dogs are brought up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, and spayed/neutered (per age/medical status) before being placed.
* Their adoption fees depend on age: puppies 8 weeks to 2 years are $500; dogs 3–6 years are $400; dogs 7+ are $300.
