Everlasting Hope Animal Rescue

Everlasting Hope Animal Rescue WE ARE OPEN BY APPOINTMENT ONLY. We don’t adopt on a first-come first-served basis, but explore every application received.

We are made up of a group of pet loving and owning people who lost that one special pet that touched our hearts so deeply and that can never be replaced. Everlasting Hope Animal Rescue and Advocacy is a 501c3 rescue group dedicated to not only saving animals’ lives, but also raising awareness of the huge over-population of unwanted pets. We also educate about the diseases prone to certain pets and

preventative treatment and maintenance, such as Heartworm and Lyme Disease. We check three references, and contact the adopter’s veterinarian to verify that current and/or past pets are kept up to date on shots and are spayed/neutered. We require that adopters with dogs bring them for a meet and greet with our rescue dog. We are made up of a small group of pet-loving and owning people who in the past lost that one special pet that touched our hearts deeply and can never be replaced. With every animal we adopt, we try very hard to match the right pet with the right forever home. We want our adopters to find that wonderful, special companion in one of our rescue animals that we have been blessed to find in our lives.

“I cried today. And a little yesterday. The cat I have fostered for two months went home today. I will miss her, but they were also tears of gladness. She loved me, and I loved her. She was in bad shape when she came, recuperating from a hind leg amputation and spay surgery. She weighed only 4 lbs. Her dissolvable stitches hadn’t even dissolved yet. But she was the sweetest, most affectionate cat on day 1 that I have ever fostered. As she gained her strength back, put on weight, and learned how to maneuver on 3 legs (didn’t take long!), her amazing personality just blossomed. She loves to cuddle. She loves to play. She runs chasing balls. She carries toys in her mouth. Then she comes to her person for pets, purring up a storm. I wanted a special home for her. One where she would be the only pet so she would get all the attention. She can never go outside, as she couldn’t jump a fence or climb a tree. Finally, we received the perfect application. A family of 4, parents and 2 teens, no pets, had recently lost a senior cat they had adopted only a year ago. They all came to meet Faith yesterday. We all sat on the floor in the foster room. She immediately went from one to the other, sniffing, rubbing, and purring. No fear, no hesitation. The interaction was perfect. They fell in love with her, and it was obvious that she was comfortable with them. It was agreed that they would come back this afternoon to pick her up. I am so happy for her. She will have four people to spoil her. She will have access to a house, and not just a room. I cried today because it was the last time I would call her my pretty girl. The last time she would meet me at the door. Why didn’t I keep her? I sure wanted to. But it would have been selfish. I knew she would outlive me. As much as I love her, mine wasn’t the right home for her. Enjoy your new home sweet girl Faith. This is what fostering is all about.”
