🐶 Happy Giving Friday! 🐶
Hey guys, we'd really like to move the needle on our building payments! The balance on our smaller building is down to right around $4,400. We're making progress, but at the same time, it feels like we're stuck because we are completely maxed out on space.
We currently operate on just .75 acres with only one play yard, and we've simply outgrown it. To keep doing what we do, we need to secure a larger property—our goal is at least 5 acres—to expand our kennels, play yards, and activities.
We are committed to giving these dogs a real quality of life, not just a kennel. We take on the tough cases that won't or can't go to a normal home, and we never let a dog's "adoptability" stop us from saving them. The big dogs no one wants to feed in this economy, the black pittie mixes, the dogs listed with a bite history because they were in a bad environment... bring them on. We're not saying that every dog we have won't find a forever home. We just fill spots fast because we deal with more difficult cases and those spots stay full longer. For example Rico the dog featured today is a great dog but still has not found his forever home yet.
But to keep taking them on, we must have resources and space. I'm not going to lie: we're going to make this expansion happen even if we have to do it all on our own. Everyone tells us it's a great thing we're doing, but with support from the community, I know this goes from great to amazing!
P.S. Princess says to tell everyone she likes to eat! 🐾
