The Pet Professional Guild - “Informed by Science, Guided by Empathy, Governed by Ethics"TM

Welcome to the Pet Professional Guild (PPG), home of compassionate Pet Professionals and pet owners from around the world. Together we are pursuing our passion for inspiring t

he pet industry and the world by emphasizing a holistic, humane and ethical approach to the care and training of family pets and by advocating for the physical, mental, environmental and nutritional well-being of the animals in our care. Mixing any other training style with positive training is like your neighborhood vegetarian cafe adding an all-you-can-eat steak night on Thursdays to boost traffic. It’s simply incompatible".

ETHICS In The Industry.

For individual professionals to act ethically within their own service scope, they must be able to make good moral and ethical choices. They need to be capable of developing a moral vision and hold a set of beliefs, values and ethical principles that apply to their marketing message, their methodology and approach as to how their services are executed, as well as possess the integrity to be honest and transparent with their clients –both two- and four-legged. Essentially, pet professionals must operate within a collection of systems that protects the animals in their care from any intentional – or unintentional – harm through a lack of knowledge and skills.
