After years of shaping the minds of future veterinarians and making a difference in our veterinary community, we congratulate Dr. Jacque Pelzer on her retirement! She's created a lasting legacy that will continue to impact generations of students, like many of our own members, and the animals they care for. Congratulations Dr. Pelzer! 💙🐾

As assistant dean, Pelzer helped revamp the curriculum and admissions process and offered counsel to prospective students, current students, and alumni of the Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine.

This tragic event reminds us that natural disasters can strike at any time—are you prepared? The Texas Veterinary Medical Association has shared some great resources for disaster preparedness for both veterinarians and pet owners below.
