It’s Tang Tuesday and we’re featuring the Blue Hippo Tang — also known as the Regal Tang or “Dory”. The Blue Tang is very peaceful towards other fish. Known for their electric blue color and bright yellow tail. They have a dramatic black marking that begins at the eyes and traces the dorsal line down to the tail and circles back above the pectoral fin to create a unique shape. They’re one of our favorite fish and 10% off this week.

Today we’re spotlighting our shop’s tank — a 1600 gallon custom Planet Aquariums tank. While these fish are not for sale, they’re awesome to watch. Everyone’s favorite fish is “Chowder” — the giant Australian Sawtail Tang. We also have a Unicorn Tang, Black Longnose Tang, Achilles tang, Powder Blue Tang and others. This beautiful tank belongs to one of our favorite clients, Mike Petersen. Mike’s tank is a 215 gallon Planet Aquariums tank that we installed and maintain. This reef tank is full of corals, inverts, and his favorite species of saltwater fish. Come by the shop and talk to us about how we can make a tank for you.
