It’s hard to believe a year has passed since Hurricane Helene struck our community.
Like many of you, we’ll never forget the devastation of those first days. But we’ll also never forget what followed—neighbors helping neighbors, fosters stepping up, volunteers loading cars with supplies, and people driving across the country to donate food for pets in need.
Because of your generosity, pets and people were kept safe. Hundreds of animals received food, litter, and emergency aid, while families found comfort and reassurance knowing their beloved companions would not be left behind.
The storm left its mark, but it also revealed the incredible resilience of our community. Today, as we remember those difficult days, we also renew a shared commitment: no matter what challenges may come, animals and the people who love them will not face them alone.
That is a promise we can uphold—together, every day.
