I've been remiss in posting photos of our summer time fun. I've taken so many fun shots but haven't set aside the time to share them. Here are just a few but I am on a mission to start sharing our awesome pups more. Wish me luck! I feel like I've been making this claim every 6 months. 😁 Maybe I need a social media secretary?

Our favorite playground residential engineer stopped by today. All the pups love when Keith comes a calling! Tula was especially happy since he works on her house too. He came to put up my Mom's newly customized bird house. It was art decor and now it's weatherproof with a roof addition. Of course I had to give him a list. You can't have a guy who can do anything at your house and not give him a list. 😁

A memory from 10 years ago today. My sweet Romeo in the background. His whole life was in the background but quietly supporting me and my kids. We were his reason for being. I am here because of him and all that he did for us as a family. That sweet boy changed me completely. He made me the dog person I am today. I'm sure God sent him to me for a reason. Romeo's Doghouse was a scribble pad for 3 years before it became a reality. Thank you Romeo for being the best thing in my life who got me where I am today. Most of you had a teacher or professor but I had a DOG! ❤️

It's very unfortunate for our pets and our pocketbooks what is happening to the veterinary industry. My wonderful vet says he will never sell to corporate. If we need an emergency vet, I will gladly drive to Greenville since Fetch is still privately owned.

Delilah's first river experience.

Delilah and I are coming up to this phase. I thought it was time I refreshed myself on how to deal with my teenager. I love Will and have been following him for quite a few years. He is a no nonsense trainer who gets excellent results. I follow his type of training and don't reward with treats but positive verbal commands. Delilah is doing fantastic and always looking to me for positive feedback. I need to be the most important thing in her world and not treats at this point. We are slowly getting there. She is doing fantastic off leash with Casanova and Pumpkin. The next few months are going to be difficult and I think I'm ready for them. I just keep watching training videos every night. 😁 Jesse and I recently took her and Casanova to a river. I was completely paranoid and my son kept yelling at me! The same son that helped me make Romeo such a wonderful dog. I'm overprotective and I know it. Delilah was fantastic off leash and never left us. I am ready for the teenager stage again!

It's official.We have adopted Pumpkin into our pack! 5 months with this girl! We had a meet and greet today with a potential adopter and I started having a panic attack a half hour before and realized this girl is ours. She's a working dog and does a phenomenal job by my side every day. We love her and I am happy to give her what she needs. Thankfully the potential adopter saw that and felt the same way. It's been 15 years since I was a foster failure. I tried so hard not to be one again. Sometimes you just have to listen to you and the dog!
