Something special over the ranch last night. The northern lights made an appearance, painting the sky with soft reds and greens above the valley. Even with a bit of fog and just a phone camera, it was a sight worth staying up for.

As we wrap up the season, we're thinking of the families that shared their stories with us, friendships that were made around the dinner table, and our crew, who gave their all to make every week something special.

This week we’re excited to spotlight Bella!

Bella came out from Florida and is working in hospitality for her very first season.

Why RHMR? Bella said, “I’ve always been interested in the ranch life. I’ve never been this far out west, so getting to experience this western lifestyle but also in a totally new environment is great. Also to just get out of my comfort zone, meet new people, see new places...just push myself!”

Bella enjoys her role on the Sunday welcome crew, where she gets to be the welcoming face of the ranch and is able to connect with them and help them feel at home. “I love to see where everyone is from and see people from all different backgrounds!”

Outside of work, Bella is big on adventures and soaking in the moments. From hikes in Idaho’s mountains, to exploring new towns, getting coffee or ice cream from new shops, to just enjoying a sunny drive along the Coeur D’Alene Lake (windows down and music blasting, of course!)

When asked why someone should finally book their stay at RHMR, this was her answer: “The staff is amazing, you’ll be so well cared for. The views are amazing. We offer so many different actives, beyond just horseback riding. If you’re adventurous there’s mountain biking and the challenge course. More laid back? There’s kayaking or archery for you. You can stay busy, or keep it chill, but either way you’re sleeping good every night! Because of the limited Wi-Fi, you really have to be unplugged and actually have conversations with other people—and it’s good for you!”

To wrap up her experience here, Bella said, “if you’re looking for a sign to apply, this is it. Take the risks. This was truly an unforgettable adventure that I will never forget. I’m taking so many things home with me from this experience.”
