☀️🐾 Heat Awareness for Pets 🐾☀️

As temperatures rise, remember — if it’s hot for you, it’s even hotter for your pets. Dogs and cats can overheat quickly, and heatstroke can become life-threatening in minutes.

🌡️ Heat Safety Tips:

🐶 Walk pets early in the morning or later in the evening
💧 Always provide fresh, cool water
🌳 Make sure outdoor pets have shade and ventilation
🚗 Never leave pets in a parked car — even for a minute
🐾 Check pavement with your hand before walks; if it’s too hot for you, it’s too hot for their paws

Flat-faced breeds, senior pets, overweight pets, and those with medical conditions are especially at risk.

If you suspect your pet is overheating, move them to a cool area, offer water, and seek veterinary care immediately.

Stay safe and keep those tails wagging this summer! ☀️❤️🐾

🐾 Rocco likes to keep his family on their toes and came to visit us today for a sore back. He enjoyed lots of loving while here and is now home with strict orders of some rest and relaxation… it looks like he is enjoying his orthopedic bed and pain meds! Feel better soon 💕
