🐾☀️ Heat Stroke in Dogs: A Deadly Danger! ☀️🐾

Summer is here — and while we love the sunshine, it can be dangerous for our furry friends. Dogs can overheat quickly, and heat stroke can be fatal if not caught in time. 🐶💔

🚨 Warning Signs of Heat Stroke in Dogs:
🔴 Excessive panting
🔴 Drooling or foaming at the mouth
🔴 Lethargy or confusion
🔴 Vomiting or diarrhea
🔴 Bright red or pale gums
🔴 Collapse or seizures

🐕 Protect Your Pup:
✅ Always provide fresh water
✅ Never leave your dog in a parked car — even for a minute!
✅ Avoid walking during peak heat (walk early morning or late evening) Protect their feet from hot surfaces too!
✅ Offer shade and cool resting areas
✅ Know your dog’s limits — flat-faced breeds (like bulldogs & pugs) are especially at risk!

👉 If you suspect heat stroke, act fast: move your dog to a cool area, wipe them down with a wet rag, offer small amounts of water, and contact your vet immediately! ⛑️

Buddy started feeling unwell after a busy Friday of being a service dog and comforting local nursing home residents. He was treated inpatient for gastrointestinal issues and was able to return home for continued monitoring and outpatient care. Now he can get back to doing what he does best! We absolutely loved having him for a visit but wish him a speedy recovery!! We are so thankful to be part of the Buddy fan club!! 🐾💗

Help us find a rescue for Rocky!!! 🐾💜
Rocky is a neutered male pitbull that came into our hospital with multiple stab wounds. He was surrendered at that time by his owners to our hospital. Our wonderful team got him all fixed up and neutered but now we are having a hard time finding a soft place for him to land. He is available to a RESCUE only.
