Today, we host our teams from Allegheny North Veterinary Hospital and Tender Touch Veterinary Hospital for a collaborative training session in pet CPR and emergency medicine at Pets in Harmony.

To allow our entire team to participate, Pets in Harmony Veterinary Hospital will be closed today from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM. Investing in ongoing education helps ensure we're prepared to provide the highest level of care when your pets need us most.

Our veterinary team is dedicated not only to caring for pets in the hospital, but also to educating our community—and we're proud to share that Dr. Tiffany McCarty from our sister-hospital, Allegheny North Veterinary Hospital, was recently featured on WPXI News!

Dr. McCarty discussed how the current wildfire smoke can impact our pets, especially brachycephalic (short-nosed) breeds such as Bulldogs, French Bulldogs, Pugs, Boston Terriers, and Persian cats. She shared valuable tips to help pet owners recognize risks and keep their pets safe during periods of poor air quality.

Pets In Harmony Veterinary Hospital is sharing this post on behalf of a client who is seeking a temporary foster home for their dogs during a difficult time. The owner is experiencing financial hardship and is expecting a baby, and is hoping to find a safe, loving place for their pets while they get back on their feet.

If you are interested in fostering either or both dogs, please contact our hospital. We can provide the owner’s contact information so you can speak directly with them.

• No known health concerns
• Medications: Prozac and Clonidine
• Anxiety and kennel reactivity
• Anxious around strangers
• May bark or growl, including when crated
• Has a history of nipping a stranger who entered his home
• Not recommended for a home with children

🐾❤️ What an inspiring day serving pets and their families in Butler, PA!

We were honored to partner with The Street Dog Coalition and Harmony Dog Rescue for a community wellness and vaccine clinic focused on helping animals in need receive essential veterinary care and support.

A special thank you goes to Dr. Brian Silvis, Dr. Tiffany McCarty, and Dr. Nikita Ahuja, who generously volunteered their time, knowledge, and compassion to care for pets throughout the day. Their dedication helped ensure that many animals received vaccines, wellness services, and much-needed medical attention.
We would also like to thank our amazing veterinary technicians for volunteering their time and helping make the clinic a success.

Events like this are a powerful reminder of what can be accomplished when organizations come together with a shared commitment to keeping pets healthy and with the families who love them. We are incredibly grateful to the volunteers, rescue partners, and community members who made this event possible.
