Right now we need someone to put a dead cat in a refrigerator. Not a freezer because freezers might destroy evidence. Until tomorrow or Monday when the Aspca can pick it up and send it out for analyzing whether or not it got poisoned..

This is a horror and so many at risk.

HERO rescuer on site- police went, but we need evidence. Please contact immediately if you can put the body in your refrigerator for a night or two at the most.

Send mom came home with me. She was still open mouth breathing. I have ordered nebulizers and steam heating her back-and-forth into the steam is not an option at this time. Desperate is to move her out of the large crate.
It is heartbreaking to watch her struggle. Vet said that much of the breathing is from the upper respiratory congestion and possibly an underlying bronchial condition but nothing we can treat at the moment because she would have to be medicated and we do not have anyone who is able to give her antibiotics regularly
if you are someone who is capable of uncomfortable with medicating a semi feral cat, please reach out be helpful for her. I cannot say I see any improvement today. Will update later, but I do know that we have many bills and many more to come.

Thank you VEG ER for Pets ! There is some wheezing. It’s yet to be determined if there is a lower respiratory infection as well as an upper. All of this is explained in the video, but the short version is that she needs more diagnostics to know what’s going on. Maybe she’s panting because of the pregnancy, maybe she’s panting because she has fluid around her lungs, she has had this infection probably for a couple of weeks. So we will proceed carefully and hopefully have some more information on what else is going on when they do a little bit more diagnostics. The fundraiser is gonna have to be increased to $1500. Please share..
if only we would’ve been able to rescue her in 2022, we could’ve saved her from so many cycles of this, but the community ran us off. The great news is we are now working in conjunction with them and there is a brighter future for all cats on this property. Which is a lot of cats.🙏

Vet trip four in 24 hours-yes I feel so bad for this cat but when we send a video to our vet and the vet says go to the emergency room…. Maybe if I stayed at blue Pearl until 6 o’clock in the morning or 7 o’clock I wouldn’t have to be doing this, but I reached my maximum amount of hours awake without completely collapsing so please consider donating to the fundraiser. I already have probably close to $200 in car fees at this point, which is unfortunate and it’s what’s happening. This cat cannot go on a train. Send good thoughts for Sun Mom. Is it stress? Is it indigestion? Is she having babies or her lungs feeling with fluid is it cardiac TBD

Urgent help needed!! This cat is very pregnant. We’ve been trying to get her for two years. We call her son mom because she always sits in the sun. She has a litter after litter after litter. She just had some six weeks ago. She was supposed to go this morning to get fixed and vaccinated, but she’s presenting now with this severe respiratory thing. We don’t know what it is. We don’t have access to low-cost vet appointments. it’s gonna be $500-$1000 easily so if anyone can donate to help her otherwise she’s gonna be out of options. We have the funds to deal with this right now. The good news is, she won’t die alone in the bushes or a filthy room, giving birth to babies that will then die because she can’t nurse them.

Spent hours today trying to get Sun Mom. This cat had a litter just six weeks ago… And she’s pregnant again…
I thought she disappeared, I didn’t realize there was a ramp down to the water, filthy water. We have a feeding Station with fresh water, I How many parasites and worms must be in her belly.

Then in the compactor room there is a mother and 2 to 4 newborns inside the bottom of a dangerous machine. The floor is covered in fleas. I came home covered in fleas .We need a place to put the mom and her Kittens. Please reach out if you can hold them. The Kittens will need a rescue. Our funds are tapped out, and we have medical emergencies right now, we cant take on anything but TNR.

In the month of September, the ASPCA has told us there will be no low-cost spay neuter appointments for the entire month of September. That means rescuers of Harlem and the Bronx have to get to Queens or way out in Brooklyn by. 8 am. An hour and a half travel each way minimum . We dont have car. For drop off and pick up.
They keep making it harder and harder… And then there’s the new paperwork from the Dept of Agriculture. Every time we take a cat to adopt there are at least 10 pages of paperwork to fill out.
They want the Cats vaccinated and vetted within 24 to 48 hours. It’s not possible.

This rescue will move to mostly TNR. Without fosters and funds- thats all we can do. The new state legislature is going to make continuing to adopt and find homes more expensive and even more work. Too much for a tiny tiny rescue.

The new laws were pushed through by the ASPCA. But the ASPCA isn’t offering us any more resources to accomplish these impossible tasks. Animals will die because of these new laws. Animals will remain in the streets because of these new laws. We cannot afford fines. We were told if we don’t comply we will be prosecuted by the Attorney General of New York.

In the meantime, any donations towards getting these cats fixed will be greatly appreciated. There’s zero chance that they’re not gonna need additional medical care. Especially the kittens who are probably already sick with flea anemia.

This project involves a co-op which spans six large buildings, three or more city blocks. We are making slow progress with the community to be able to rescue on the property without being harassed. Management is on board and we are making more connections with shareholders to combat the haters who actively disrupt and tell us to “leave the cats alone”.

These dead kittens are one small example of what happens when we leave the cats alone. We’ve been trying to rescue on this property for two years. Due to hostility, we had to stop. Now we have some some areas that we are able to work without hassle, but around every corner are more and more cats, many pregnant cats now. The babies are dying, The moms suffering in endless reproduction cycles.

There is a black mama and her newborns in a filthy compactor room with nowhere to go. We need a place to put the mom and her babies in a crate, someone to care for her, and funds. If any other rescues can take them on, we can organize getting them to you.
In the meantime, there are at least two more pregnant cats. There are three young kittens, one with a visible eye infection that we’re trying to get. And dozens of other unfixed cats on the property.
We need help.
Fosters and funds for people who will hold these animals pre-and post surgery.
There’s currently a pregnant cat that looks like she may be having labored breathing. She just had a litter 6 weeks ago and is pregnant again. .
If we take this Cat on it could be thousands in medical bills, money we do not have. If we leave her…. she may not survive this next round of birthing.

I am overwhelmed.
Our main trapper in this project is away for a month. There is a garage full of unfixed cats and an MTA yard with sick and aging cats that need to retire.

I am grateful for the people who have stepped up, especially Nicola Jones for taking on kittens these last weeks.

If you can hold pre-and post surgery: monitoring , being able to get them to an emergency vet if necessary. The rescue or the Aspca covers costs…. Please dm.
Spay/abort is much kinder than what happened to babies in pictures. I’m totally overwhelmed-as are well all.
