SALLY NEEDS A PLACEMENT BY SATURDAY OCTOBER 31, 2026 BY 12PM: Hello, my name is Sally. : My animal id is . I am a desexed female gray at the Manhattan Animal Care Center . The shelter thinks I am about 17 years 2 weeks old.
I came into the shelter as an owner surrender on 10/19/2026, with the surrender reason stated as person circumstance - landlord won’t allow. Sally is on the at-risk list due to behavior. She is not thriving in the care center and continues to display distance-increasing behavior when approached for interactions. She has not warmed up despite staff using treats to build a positive association. Due to her stress levels, it is in her best interest to move out of the kennel environment and into a stable home as quickly as possible. She would do best in a home with adopters who are willing to give her plenty of time and space to adjust, and who have experience with helping a fearful cat adjust to strangers. I can be slow to adjust to new environments. I prefer to take things at my own pace.

F***Y NEEDS A PLACEMENT BY SATURDAY OCTOBER 31, 2026 BY 12PM: Hello, my name is F***y ***y. My animal id is . I am a desexed female brown tabby/white at the Queens Animal Care Center . The shelter thinks I am about 5 years 2 weeks old.
I came into the shelter as a stray on 10/12/2026. F***y is on the at-risk list for medical reasons. F***y has an aural hematoma, likely due to chronic otitis and ear mites. While her hematoma is healing, the chronic changes to F***y’s ear make it difficult to treat her ear issues to resolution as her right ear canal is significantly narrowed. She needs frequent cleanings and medication application and will need veterinary follow up. Dr. Tom-Ato is on the At Risk list due to behavior. While he does display social behavior, he is prone to overstimulation and displays challenging behavior during interactions and in a home environment. He is extremely intelligent and high energy, and needs to expend energy constructively with interactive play sessions 3-4X/day. The staff think I would do best in a home where there are no other cats.

She is not thriving in the care center and continues to display challenging behavior during interactions. She is extremely intelligent and high energy, and needs to expend energy constructively with interactive play sessions 3-4X/day. In addition to playtime, this cat would also benefit from mental exercise from activities such as puzzle toys/games, lick mats, or clicker training. Without providing activity for her mind and body, the cat may react with rough play, potentially resulting in bite/scratch incidents. It is in her best interest to move out of the kennel environment and into a stable home as quickly as possible. She would do best in a home with adopters who are willing to give her plenty of time and space to adjust, and who have experience with feline body language, overstimulation, rough play, and who have the time to invest in managing these behaviors on a consistent basis to avoid further bite/scratch incidents.�

I came into the shelter as a owner surrender on 10/11/2026, with the surrender reason stated as animal behavior - aggressive towards people.
Sorry, this pet is for new hope partners only. Ray Ray is on the at-risk list for medical and behavior concerns. Ray Ray has been very stressed at the shelter. He has developed an upper respiratory infection that has stopped him from eating. Ray Ray so far will not let us handle him for treatments. He needs a quiet environment to heal and receive individualized attention. Ray Ray is extremely fearful in the shelter environment and does not currently tolerate petting or handling. Prior owner stated that Ray Ray has had behavior concerns since he was a kitten. They stated that he seems to be reactive to movement such as people exiting and entering the home. Ray Ray once he recovers medical would benefit from further investigation into his behaviors in a low-stress consistent environment. What my friends at ACC say about me:

LOLA JEWEL NEEDS A PLACEMENT BY TUESDAY OCTOBER 27, 2026 BY 12PM: Hello, my name is Lola Jewel. : My animal id is . I am a female muted calico/white at the Manhattan Animal Care Center . The shelter thinks I am about 1 years 3 weeks old.
I came into the shelter as an owner surrender on 10/4/2026, with the surrender reason stated as animal health - will need ongoing vet care. Lola Jewel is on the at-risk list for medical concern. Lola Jewel came to the shelter with a history of seizures. She had never been on medication and it was reported her seizures were brief. She has started on medication for seizures, but has had 2 brief seizure episodes so far. She would likely benefit from different medications to control her seizures and from more individualized care. She is a sweet girl who has been taking her current medication with ease. Lola Jewel also has a mild upper respiratory infection. Behaviorally, Lola Jewel tolerates attention and petting but appears to be moderately fearful! 10-21-2026: A:
