Imagine staying in an unheated garage with not even a blanket or straw in the cage for warmth. These 4 were part of a group on 8 needing rescue, and despite our limited space, we made room (the other 4 were rescued too). They are currently being treated for potential URI’s and dehydration, as well as building their strength from a lack of consistent feedings.

Our work doesn’t stop because of the holidays. In fact, you could argue it becomes more difficult since we fight against the cold, winter weather and illnesses during this time of the year. Thank you to everyone who donates, volunteers and simply visits to socialize the cats and kittens! ❤️

Hi, Janet here from CCR wanting to share something on my heart. When I got into rescue 8 years ago, I knew there was a great need for people willing to take in, rescue, foster & adopt cats. Cats are so evidently overpopulated. In certain parts of town you can see them sitting on tables, near trash cans, crouching on porches, living under houses. As for dogs, you rarely see them, giving the impression that over population is not such a problem. But since being emersed in this rescue community, my thoughts on that have changed greatly. My inbox is flooded daily with photos and stories of beautiful friendly dogs abandoned and unwanted, slated for euthanasia. Even puppies are not exempt from this fate. We will be sharing photos of dogs in desperate need of saving. We saved 17 dogs this Summer, but our facility is not really set up to house dogs long term. We are asking the public to consider fostering and adopting from our local humane society. They work tirelessly to get these poor dogs into good and loving homes. If you are interested in a dog we share in our page, we will work to bring you and the dog together as these sites don't direct adopt but must go through a rescue. Thank you, God Bless and consider giving a dog a home this Christmas.

Lots of Christmas blessing have been arriving at CCR ❤️

From kitten chow and canned cat food, to treats and toys. What a wonderful community we serve! We would love to thank everyone individually, but it's really hard. A package will arrive with a person’s name, and we Facebook search and find many people with that same name. But we want you all to know how much each and every gift to the cats means to us.
