Cuddle Cat Rescue

Cuddle Cat Rescue 501(c)3 nonprofit, no-kill cat rescue located in Hannibal, Missouri. We are funded entirely by monetary donations as well as donated food and supplies.
(1)

We value companion animals, recognize their contributions to people’s lives, and educate our community about humane pet care and the importance of spay/neuter. Cuddle Cat Rescue is a 501c3 non-profit organization that saves the lives of unwanted and abandoned cats and finds new homes for them. We often help those that would otherwise be euthanized due to injury, illness or unsocial ability. Please consider becoming a foster family and help a cat/kitten in need.

Did you know June is National Adopt a Cat Month? We do our best to capture their best angle and show off their personalities, but we also tend to catch their goofy side too.

Here are a few of our favorites! Share your goofy cat pictures with us in the comments 🐈❤️🐈‍⬛

COURTESY POST: ADULT MALE IN NEED OF A NEW HOME!

Meet Leo. He is a year and a half old, neutered, and up to date on his vaccinations. His current owner is no longer able to keep him due to a personal reason driving her to move into a new space that does not allow pets.

Leo is cuddly and gets along with other cats. He has not been around dogs or other animals but would just need a slow introduction if they are in the home. Because of his young age, he is playful and loves attention!

If you are interested in giving Leo a new place to call home, please message us or email us at [email protected] 🐈

We are full to the brim, staff stretched thin, the budget straining, when in walks a couple who said they were homeless bringing us a milk crate with 6 urine soaked kittens. They have diarrhea, they are dehydrated, emaciated, 2 of them lethargic. We got them baths, gave them fluids and B12, gave meds for diarrhea and warm formula to fill their tummies. There are currently 13 people with cats and kittens on our waiting list. Almost every call we answer is someone desperately asking if we can take more kittens. We have 2 rooms full of kittens ready for adoption right now. To say we are full is an understatement. We can't take any more at the moment. But even if could, the finances to take more and more just isn't there. We couldn't turn these babies away because of a matter of money. They were suffering and would continue to suffer until they passed. We couldn't let that happen.

Sorry for the late post on the raffle but we had emergency kittens brought in that took all of my attention. So here it is:

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!

For those of you who don’t know, we are currently run by only a handful of people (all volunteers) who dedicate their time to helping the rescue in various ways. We are looking to expand our team in order to lighten the load on their shoulders while giving each position the attention it deserves to be successful and develop into something wholly unique.

We are looking to fill the following roles:
1. Intake Coordinator (manage requests and schedule intakes)
2. Event Planner and/or Fundraising Coordinator (plan and execute events and develop ways to raise money for the rescue)
3. Adoption Counselor (meet/be available for scheduled adoption appointments after learning the adoption process)
4. Foster Coordinator (continue building a foster team, be the contact for foster intakes, assign fosters, etc. This position works closely with our medical technician.)

Each position is the perfect opportunity to learn what goes into rescue work (and a great resume builder!) New volunteers will work directly with a board member to learn and transition the role.

Things to note: This is a VOLUNTEER position. We are looking for individuals willing to make a long-term commitment. However, there are no set hours. All volunteers may be given the opportunity to join our board as well.

If you are interested in any of the positions listed above, please email us at [email protected]. We are happy to answer any questions!
