Welcome, everyone! This small business is ran by Emily Mincher. It is ran out of her own barn, and she hopes for it to be a hayday (pun intended 😉). The goal is to ONLY TRADE tack. No dollar amounts involved. As a fellow equestrian, she hopes to help those around her. We all know that it can be hard to get what you need in the horse world without spending an arm and a leg. This is exactly why this business was started.
Hey, guys! The above is the professional part of this post. Of course, I’d like to keep this professional, but this section will be a little more intimate. It’s only here for those who want to know the back story.
The horse world is expensive, is it not!? I’ve ran into this problem so many times, and wanted to make it a little bit more manageable. How does one even do that, though!? I spent a considerable amount of time thinking about it. At first, there didn’t seem to be any reasonable solution. I was determined to find a solution though. That’s where the idea for Trade, Tack to Rack came from. It was heavily inspired by the Missouri Horse page and Barn Owners on a Budget (that might not be the exact name of the page, but it’s close). I was inspired by all the trade posts on the Missouri Horse page. Out of everything that gets posted in that group, there has been a constant stream of people trading things. This is where I thought back to Barn Owners on a Budget. It is a very kind and welcoming group that helps those who are trying to do this whole horse thing without putting down all their savings. The simple acts of kindness and compassion that these people show each other is my true inspiration. In a way, yes, this is a business. Although, I don’t like to use that word, because it makes it sound like I’m just here for the money. In all honesty, I’m starting with nothing but an extra saddle that I don’t use anymore. Maybe some day I’ll have extra saddles to sell in the MO Horse page, but that’s not really my concern. I’m young and trying to step out of my comfort zone. Who knows, this could go no where…. or it could go somewhere. This “business” is running on one saddle, hopes, and dreams.
For those of you who got this far, thank you! You are already supporting me and my cause! I am taking donations, if anyone would like to help me out. This isn’t for personal gain, but for helping the community. Everything will be given back to our community.
