Dolly Has Waited 11 Years for a Real Home

It truly breaks our hearts to see this sweet senior girl back at the shelter after only two weeks in a home.

Dolly is 11 years old and originally came to the shelter back in July from a heartbreaking hoarding situation. Dozens of cats came from that home—most have since found forever families. Dolly thought she had finally found hers too. After patiently waiting over two months, she was adopted… but was returned just two weeks later.

The reason? Her adopter’s birds “didn’t like her” and they were “traveling and wouldn’t have time for her.” Sadly, Dolly lost the only home she’s ever known through no fault of her own.

Dolly came in with a rodent ulcer that had been improving, but the stress of losing her home has caused it to flare up again. 💔 As with all new adopted animals Dolly will need to see your private vet. Despite everything, Dolly has had no bad notes from the shelter or from the home. She is simply a gentle senior who has been failed too many times.

We ask that comments remain positive and focused on helping Dolly finally find the forever home she has waited 11 long years for. We cannot change her past, but together we can change her future. 🏡✨

Please consider opening your heart and home to Dolly. Share her story so that this time, she finally gets the love and stability she’s always deserved.

All adoptions are done in person at the shelter and Dolly is ready to go home with you the same day.

Great adoption event today. The two puppies found a forever home and one kitty purred herself into loving arms.
We at Saints couldn't do this without our wonderful volunteers!!

We do need more volunteers!! We have a need for someone who could take our Friday time to clean cages at PetSmart. Time is flexible! Please contact us asap!!

SAINTS SPCA is a non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation that specializes in cat rescue. We are an all volunteer organization and completely funded by donations. Our mission is to reduce the unwanted animals that have been abandoned, turned into shelters, or are feral and to provide a better quality of life. Part of that mission is to prevent and reduce the number of animals being euthanized. We work at a local, state, and national level for all animals in need. Our rescue mission includes:

Adoptions and finding long-term homes for rescued animals

Fostering cats and kittens

Maintaining a Trap, Neuter and Return program
