🎸💜 PLAYING THE BLUES FOR A GREAT CAUSE! 🐾🎶
Sometimes the most amazing things start with one simple question! ❤️
Back in April 2026, Mr. Don Kushma walked into Animal Friends Humane Society and asked if we had a sign that said “Animal Friends Humane Society.” Little did we know, that simple visit would turn into something so special! 🥹💜
Don has been playing blues guitar for most of his life, and since retiring, he was looking for something meaningful to do with his time. What better way to share his love of music than to raise money for animals in need? 🎸🐶🐱
Armed with his guitar, his love for the blues, and a heart of gold, Don began playing music and collecting donations for our shelter! He started out in front of a market near Trenton and has since shared his talents at the Fairfield Farmers Market on Wednesdays from 4–7 PM, the Hamilton Farmers Market on Thursdays from 5–9 PM, and Treasure Island on Saturdays and Sundays.
🎉 And here's the incredible part… since May, Don has raised OVER $2,400 for the animals at Animal Friends Humane Society! 💜🐾
Every dollar helps us care for the homeless animals who depend on us, and Don has shown that you don't need a big event or fancy fundraiser to make a BIG difference. Sometimes all it takes is a guitar, a little music, and a whole lot of heart. ❤️
Don, THANK YOU! Thank you for sharing your talent, giving your time, and choosing our animals as the reason behind your music. We are incredibly grateful for your kindness and dedication!
If you happen to see Don out playing his blues, stop by, enjoy some music, drop a little something in his donation collection, and let him know how much he's appreciated! 🎶💜
One man. One guitar. Over $2,400 raised. Countless paws helped. 🐾❤️
