Trunk or Treat this past weekend was a success! 👻 A special thank you goes out to all the amazing people who passed out candy and the vendors who made this event possible. We loved seeing so many families here at the shelter making good memories and learning about our organization. 🧡

Adoptable Rocky Road, Quinn and Ochre spent some time walking around, meeting visitors, and crossing their paws for their forever homes!

Shout out to these awesome small businesses who provided warm food and music for the event..

AAF volunteers visited Oxford OH yesterday, (10/24) and set up an informational table at the Redlife Coffee House Holiday Bazaar.

On behalf of the Animal Adoption Foundation, I'd like to give a big thank you to Redlife management and employees for their warm welcome and assistance at this event.

I feel the event was a success for AAF. The kittens were a big hit and Jan, Sharon, and I talked to people all day, answering questions, passing out flyers, and explaining the various volunteer opportunities at AAF.

Without a doubt, though, the star of the day for me was a 7 year old girl named Hannah. She and her mom came to see the kittens and ended up spending the rest of their time at our table. Hannah would walk through the attendees, carrying a kitten, and inviting persons to come to our table. Hannah, thanks for all your help and I hope we see you at the shelter one day as a volunteer.

Everyone meet Tippy - The long haired tabbico!

Although a tabbico is not a breed of cat, it is a striking color pattern consisting of a mixture of tabby and calico cat markings. And our lovely 8-month-old girl Tippy, with her long, luxurious fur, is a striking example of just how beautiful a tabbico can be.

Tippy came to the Animal Adoption Foundation shelter as a stray, but that rough start has not inhibited her enthusiasm for life. She is a curious and sweet lady, and like any young cat she is full of fun and ready for adventure. She enjoys playing with her roommates and especially likes chasing her friend Lacey. And from her one photo, she seems to have a great sense of humor since she appears to be blowing a raspberry at the photographer.

So, if you’re looking for a young lady cat with an attractive coat of many colors, then Tippy might just be the one for you. Not sure if you’re ready to make a long-term commitment? Then visit the Animal Adoption Foundation shelter at 2480 Ross Millville Rd, Hamilton, OH 45013, meet her in person, and see how sweet and beautiful this girl really is!

Picture yourself in a shelter by a river
With tangerine trees and marmalade skies
Somebody meows to you, you answer quite slowly
A cat with kaleidoscope eyes….

Okay, my apologies to the Beatles, to all Beatles fans, and to every music lover out there. I just couldn’t resist!

In case you haven’t guessed by now, this week’s Animal Adoption Foundation Saturday feline Facebook post features a cat named Lucy. Lucy is a captivating two-year-old female brown tabby with charming splashes of white on her head, chest, and paws. And in keeping with the “Lucy in the Skies With Diamonds” theme, one of those splashes is a beautiful diamond shaped patch of white right in the middle of her forehead.

Lucy came to the AAF shelter along with her five babies. And of course, with the Beatles theme, they were named Molly, Desmond, Abbey, Jude, and Maxwell. Raising a litter of five kittens is never easy, but her family obligations are finished, and Lucy is now looking for a new beginning in her life. She is a very loving girl and is ready to share that love with someone who will give her a forever home and the face and tummy rubs she adores.

It's been a “Long and Winding Road” for Lucy, but it’s only a short trip to the Animal Adoption Foundation Shelter if you’re looking for a loving companion to share your home. If you’d like to meet Lucy in person, just head on over to 2480 Ross Millville Rd, Hamilton, OH 45013, and ask for her by name. She’ll love to see you.
