Meet Bear, he is ready to be ADOPTED!! He's looking for his forever home and currently lives in CB. Bear ended up in a high kill shelter in Cali after his owner passed away. I have been fostering Bear for 5 months; he is now well adjusted to life in the mountains and will make a great companion!
Bear is an 8-year-old Shepherd, Golden, Chow mix with a calm personality. He loves the simple things in life - chilling at home, in the yard or river, car rides, walks, chewing on bones, nordic skiing, snow, and spending time near his people. He loves to be outside, but does not require a lot of exercise.
Bear walks nicely on leash, takes treats gently, and is very polite with food and bones. He’s smart, trainable and would benefit from someone who wants to continue training him. Bear would thrive in a relaxed home and would do well with other dogs.
At this time he’s looking for a home without cats or small children due to a lack of information. Bear is up to date on vaccinations and has a few manageable health considerations that can be discussed with interested adopters. If possible, I would love to see him adopted in the valley so I can continue being in his life and provide Bear Care if needed.
