Camp Spotted Snout is officially OPEN!

Today kicks off our very first day of adventure, enrichment, trail walks, play, and rest — all with a small, thoughtful group of dogs and lots of love behind the scenes.

This camp has been a dream of mine for a long time. A place where dogs can be dogs — explore, sniff, move their bodies, and feel safe in a calm and consistent group.

So excited for what’s ahead and so grateful to finally be doing this!

Big news — Camp Spotted Snout is here!

Starting this summer, your dog can be part of a small, adventure-loving crew exploring over 200 acres of private land. Think trail walks, playtime, enrichment, and rest — all led by a certified trainer (that’s me!) who understands what dogs really need to feel fulfilled.

This isn’t daycare. It’s a structured, calm, and seriously fun alternative for dogs who need more than a walk but don’t love the chaos of big groups.

Camp runs on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, with pickup and drop-off available in Altamont, Voorheesville, Guilderland, Berne, and surrounding areas.

No drop-offs available at camp— but if you're outside the pickup zone, you’re welcome to meet me at a set location to join in.

Spots are limited since the group stays small by design — and that’s what makes it so special.

Dog Camp is a small-group experience built around what dogs actually love: exploring trails, playing with friends, sniffing new things, and having the space to just be dogs. It all takes place on over 200 acres of private land with a certified trainer leading the day from start to finish.

We have some new faces around here, so I wanted to take a moment to reintroduce myself. My name is Meghan, and I’m a certified professional dog trainer as well as a certified canine nutritionist. I recently completed my canine nutrition course, which has become a new passion of mine. I love helping pet parents create the best diet plan for their dogs while keeping their health a top priority.

For training, I offer both in-home private sessions and socialization training, including one-on-one sessions and teach-and-train options. I also provide private virtual nutrition consultations.

In addition, I offer my ‘Pups Plus One’ wedding service! With wedding season approaching, if you’re looking to have your dog as part of your special day, be sure to reach out ASAP to reserve your spot.

My business was founded in honor of our family dog, Cova (hence her spotted snout), and I recently welcomed my own dog, Aspen, in June. She’ll be turning one in April! If you book private sessions with me, there’s a chance Aspen might join us for some training.
