Seeking: Independent Dog Groomer who needs a grooming space!

Adventure Tails Dog Training and Enrichment on Drywall Lane in Voorheesville is looking to rent out our kennel room (equipped with tub) to an independent groomer.

We maintain a friendly, collaborative, dog-and client-centered workplace with an active and loyal client base that could be funneled into your business. Our kennel room is recently updated, cute, clean and in an excellent location.

We would love to offer our beloved clients trusted and professional grooming services and better utilize the beautiful workspace we have built!

Groomers would need their own dryer, grooming table and equipment.

We just completed another round of Puppy Class and all of the graduates passed their AKC Puppy STAR test! This group was so fun and we really made the most out of class.

We have some spots available in our upcoming Obedience Foundations classes! We provide a fun and supportive learning environment in a small group (4 teams/class) and focus on building enthusiastic engagement, clear communication and handling skills while learning basic lifestyle skills (sit, down, stay, leave it, wait at door, leash walking, “yes” and “no”).

This class is appropriate for new clients with friendly dogs or for clients who have completed private programs and are looking to continue to practice skills.

This 6 week course focuses on creating valuable early life socialization and exposure opportunities, teaching owners how to best manage and address common puppy issues at home, developing clear communication and an engaged relationship while learning basic puppy obedience!

Classes are small in size, highly tailored to each class’s individual needs, and taught by experienced, educated and compassionate trainers!

Curious about Social Responsibility? One of our December drop in classes (offered twice - you can take both!) will be focused on teaching the skills assessed in the loose leash walking and obedience portions of GRC Dogsports’ entry obedience/lifeskills test - SR! This was the test that ignited my love of dog sport and performance obedience.

What is cool about Social Responsibility skills is that they are extremely functional for navigating day to day life with your companion dog. All of these skills have come in handy in the real world with multiple dogs I have trained and lived with.

Moda and I noodled around last night to demo (most of) the skills included in the test. There’s a link in the comment section to a video of me and Bruce at his SR trial in 2021.

Come as a beginner to learn how to start these skills, come hone what you have already started, or do a full SR run through in a new environment. We can’t wait to see you there!
