Our first time attending Minnesota State Fair and we had a blast! Thank you to all those involved and who helped make the show possible! We had a great time with our llama family. We only took 4, a different crew than those who went to Nebraska (minus Silverton) and Cheyenne will post her results on her own page.

Erika and Sheldon Cupid: 4th Open Obstacle, 4th Open PR, and 8th Open Pack

CVLR Caitlin: 3rd Heavy Wool 2 Year Old Female

* Cheyenne wanted to show her one last time before we breed her this fall. She’s been in a pasture for over a year so definitely not in show mode but we are excited for her future in the breeding pen. Now to find the perfect male to breed her to

This is why we love Re*****on so much.

He absolutely loves going places to meet people and help us spread the love of llamas! (Although hes been confused for a giraffe on multiple occasions) He hops right in the van and lays down before we even start moving.

From a very young age we started working on desensitizing his legs and head/face and we are so glad we did. The amount of kids who just wanted to pet his fluffy legs or were too small to reach anywhere else, he never once picked up his foot or made an attempt to move, Front or Back legs. He had a lot of people who wanted to pet his curly head and he just stood there taking it all in.
We make sure to tell people not every llama is going to be like him in allowing petting really anywhere. Just so they don’t get kicked or anything when they meet another llama.

He is always a crowd favorite and that’s why he will never leave the farm. 🩷

Thank you The Arc of East Central Iowa and Kirkwood for having us!

Also super rewarding to have so many HAFF babies there showing and being successful really means the world to our small program. I included photos of 3 (including Cheyenne’s female), but HAFF was also represented by Wings of Faith HAFF (Gunnar Cook), Isabella HAFF (Heather Holland), and Kipton’s Nicklaus HAFF (Amanda Olszewski).

The face of a llama who is supposed to be almost all white but is actually mud brown. Who also knows he is going to be shown this weekend so he requires a pre bath before we even leave on Thursday. 😂

Congratulations and Thank you to Gunnar Cook on choosing to add Wings of Faith HAFF (WOL Ameretto x CVL Nobela) to your program! Gabby was not actively posted, but Gunnar saw her on our website and had to have her. He showed her in performance and halter this weekend and we know she will excel under his training! 🩷

I’m going to let Cheyenne share her own show results from now on (will be on her personal page or farm page), but we are so proud of her herd!

I guess out of our group who went it was just 2 for HAFF! 😂

Lamapoolza was a successful weekend for us! We had a great time and will be back again next year! Thank you to the judges, superintendents, and volunteers for a wonderful weekend.

Results for our herd:
Performance:
Night to Remember and Joel: 4th Advanced PR, 5th Advanced Obstacle, 4th Advanced Pack

LA Sparkle and Mason: 7th Novice Pack, 10th Novice Obstacle

Halter:
Night to Remember: 2nd/3rd Adult Nonbreeder, Reserve Grand Champion Nonbreeder

LA Sparkle ARR: Double Reserve Grand Champion Heavy Wool Female

Erika went to judge at the Jasper County Fair on Sunday and so we left our crew in the hands of Renee, Marshall, Cheyenne, Joel, and Londyn! We appreciate them so much!
