You know what should not require a field trip?

Your pet’s medication refills. 😅

Between work, errands, school pickups, grocery runs, and the mysterious way dogs always run out of preventatives on a Friday night… refills can become one more thing on the never-ending list.

That’s why we love our online pharmacy!

You can request your pet’s trusted medications and preventatives online, have them shipped right to your door, and often get a discount on your first order.

Even better?

Products ordered through our pharmacy still carry the manufacturer guarantees — which is not always the case when medications come from random online sources or some retail pharmacies.

So it is easier.
Often more affordable.
And safer because we know where it came from.

That is the kind of convenience we can all can get behind.

Just the right medication, from the right source, delivered to your door. 🐾

Need a refill? Text or call us and we’ll help you get set up.

What pet medication do you always seem to run out of at the worst possible time?

Get the care they need… and the core vaccines are FREE. 🐾

That is the whole point of our Track Plans.

Because pet parents should not have to choose between doing the right thing for their pet and trying to keep the budget from bursting into flames. 😅

When your pet comes in for their annual wellness exam and you choose one of our wellness tracks, their core vaccines are included at no extra cost.

That means:
✔️ They get a full doctor consultation, diagnostics, and vaccines
✔️ We catch concerns early
✔️ They stay protected
✔️ You save money
✔️ You leave with a clear plan instead of a mystery bill

This is preventive care the way it should feel: simple, thoughtful, and built around real life.

Your pet gets the care they need.

You get fewer surprises.

Everybody wins… except preventable disease. We are very much against that guy.

Text or call us and ask about getting your pet’s vaccines for free.
We have different levels of Track Plans available for both dogs and cats.

Which would help you more right now: saving money on vaccines or having a simpler plan for the year?

For the pet parent who knows something is “not right”…

We know that feeling.

Your dog still eats, but seems off.
Your cat is hiding more than usual.

The ear scratching started small, and now it is 2 a.m. and you are Googling things that should come with a warning label. 😅

Here is the truth:
You do not have to wait until it becomes an emergency.
And you should not have to wait days just to find out whether you should be worried.

At FurWell, we built in same-day appointments for exactly this reason.

Because the best care often starts with one simple thing: getting answers early.

Not panic.

Not guessing.

Not “watch it for a week” when your gut is telling you something is wrong.

Just clear, kind, practical guidance from a team that takes your worry seriously.

Text or call us today if your pet needs to be seen.

What is one symptom your pet had that made you instantly think, “Okay… something is wrong”?

☀️🐾Heat Advisory for Pet Parents🐾☀️

Today's temperatures are not just uncomfortable, they can be dangerous.

As we write this, our team is actively treating a dog suffering from heat exhaustion. Thankfully, this pet was brought in quickly, but situations like this can become life-threatening in a matter of minutes.

Unlike people, dogs and cats cannot cool themselves efficiently. Even a short walk, backyard play session, or time spent outdoors can lead to overheating during extreme heat.

🚨 **Signs of Heat Exhaustion & Heat Stroke**
• Excessive panting or difficulty breathing
• Heavy drooling
• Bright red, pale, or purple gums
• Weakness or lethargy
• Vomiting or diarrhea
• Stumbling or collapse
• Disorientation
• Seizures
• Loss of consciousness

If you notice any of these signs, move your pet to a cool area immediately and seek veterinary care right away. Heat stroke is a medical emergency.

🌡️ **How to Keep Your Pet Safe**
✅ Limit outdoor activity to early morning or late evening.

✅ Keep walks short and avoid hot pavement. If it's too hot for your hand, it's too hot for their paws.

✅ Provide fresh, cool water at all times.

✅ Keep pets indoors in air conditioning whenever possible.

✅ Offer cooling mats, fans, frozen treats, or ice cubes.

✅ Never leave pets in parked vehicles, even for a few minutes.

⚠️ **Be Extra Careful With**
• French Bulldogs, Pugs, Bulldogs, and other flat-faced breeds
• Senior pets
• Overweight pets
• Puppies and kittens
• Pets with heart or respiratory conditions

❤️ A reminder: your dog does not need that midday walk today.

Missing one walk is far safer than risking heat stroke. Consider indoor enrichment instead: training games, puzzle toys, treat hunts, or some extra cuddle time in the AC.

If your pet seems "off" after being outside, don't wait. Call your veterinarian immediately. When it comes to heat-related illness, early intervention can save lives.

Stay safe, stay cool, and give your pets an extra hug from all of us today. 🐾

Nobody plans for their pet to get sick. 🐾

No one wakes up and thinks, "Today seems like a good day for an unexpected veterinary bill."

And when your pet needs care, you're often making decisions while you're worried, stressed, and just wanting answers.

We understand that.

One of the hardest parts of veterinary medicine isn't the medicine itself. It's when loving pet parents are forced to think about finances at the same time they're thinking about a pet they love like family.

That's why we've worked hard to offer multiple options that can help make veterinary care more manageable and easier to navigate.

✔️ Pawlicy Advisor (link on our website) is an ah-mazing FREE tool that can help you compare and understand pet insurance options. It's incredibly helpful, so if you're interested in pet insurance, we highly recommend you start there!

✔️ FurWell Pet Centric care plans can help spread routine care costs into simple monthly payments and some plans include an FSA to cover unexpected costs. More info available at FurWellVet.com under "Primary Care Plans."

✔️ Cherry Financing

✔️ CareCredit

✔️ Scratchpay

Because our goal is simple: we want you spending less time worrying about how to make care happen and more time focusing on what matters most, helping your best friend stay happy, healthy, and by your side for as many years as possible. ❤️

If you're curious about any of these options, visit our website at www.furwellvet.com or reach out to our team. We're always happy to help you find the path that works best for your family.

"Excuse me, Dr. White... I'd like your full attention, please." 🐾❤️

MJ came in for his recheck appointment today, and while Dr. White was making sure he was on the right track, MJ decided to return the favor by performing his own examination. His findings? One paw placed directly on the doctor's face for maximum accuracy. 😹

The good news is that MJ is making great progress, but sometimes getting back to feeling your best requires a few adjustments along the way. That's exactly what recheck appointments are for, celebrating improvements, addressing any bumps in the road, and making sure we're heading in the right direction.

We think it's safe to say MJ approves of his care team. 💙

Convenience is not “extra” when you have multiple pets.

It is the difference between actually getting care done…And putting it off because the thought of loading everyone into the car makes you want to stare silently into the fridge for emotional support.

When you have multiple pets, one appointment can quickly become a whole production.
The carriers.
The leashes.
The car ride.
The gas.
The waiting.
The “please do not bark at that nice person” negotiations.

That is not a small thing.

That is why we believe multi-pet families deserve a smarter option.

With our mobile visits, we can see multiple pets in one visit with one trip charge.

That means you save on gas, save time, and avoid making veterinary care harder than it needs to be.

Because around here, we would rather make care clearer, calmer, and easier.

Text or call Bre at 864-232-9841 if you want to schedule a multi-pet mobile visit.

What is the most chaotic part of taking multiple pets to the vet: loading them, driving them, or convincing them this is not a betrayal? 😄

Sweet faces can still hide parasites.

This handsome little guy came in for his puppy visit, and his breeder had already dewormed him with pyrantel *four separate times.*

Many pet parents would assume that means he's in the clear.

But when we performed his routine f***l parasite screening, he tested positive for Giardia.

Here's why that matters:

👉 Not all intestinal parasites are treated by the same medication.
👉 Pyrantel is effective against certain worms, but it does **not** treat Giardia.
👉 Some pets with parasites have diarrhea or stomach upset, but many look completely healthy.
👉 The only way to know what your pet may be carrying is through testing.

F***l parasite screening is one of the most important (and often overlooked) parts of preventive care, especially for puppies and kittens. Early detection helps us treat the right parasite with the right medication before it causes bigger problems for your pet or spreads to other animals in the household.

This sweet boy is now getting the treatment he needs and is on his way to feeling his best. 💙

When was the last time your pet had a f***l parasite test performed? If you're not sure, give us a call or send us a text. We'd be happy to help make sure they're protected.

No pet parent wants to go to the ER.

And honestly? We get it.

But when your pet is vomiting, limping, shaking their head, not eating, acting painful, or just “not right,” your brain immediately goes into the worst-case mode.

Then comes the question:
“Can this wait until tomorrow?”

That is a horrible place to sit.

This is exactly why we offer same-day visits at all of our locations and walk-in hours at our Vet Near Me and Barkingham location.

Not every sick pet needs the ER.

But a worried pet parent does need answers.

If your pet seems off today, do not sit at home Googling yourself into a full emotional collapse only to later find yourself sitting in the ER for hours waiting for a big bill.

Text or call us and we will do our best to get you in. 🐾

What is the symptom that always makes you panic fastest: vomiting, limping, not eating, or something else?
