Welp, it’s been a CRAZY few days!
I’m still not fully recovered from our wild anniversary party weekend, but rescue work never stops!
TODAY is our actual 10 year anniversary.
Ten years ago on Sept 15, everything was official and LPR was “ born “. Some days it definitely seems like longer, and then some it feels just like yesterday we were picking up The Feral Four at Union County Animal Shelter wondering what the hell we were getting ourselves into.
4000+ lives later, One thing remains the same…
Dogs in need in the South, the broken ones, the scared ones, the ones who are dumped like trash… They will always be the heart of our mission here at Lucky Pup.
Just last week, I got an emergent email asking if we could come help trap some dumped dogs at Conestee Park. This is dogs number 4 and 5 in a month that we’ve had to pickup there after being dumped. 😞
So of course I said “yes” and our volunteers sprung in to action. All 3 were safely corralled and are in foster homes now.
All 3 need the full works in vetting, and we will then find them amazing homes!
Two of our other recent pulls, the little chunky bonded pair we took after they were owner surrendered to the overcrowded Aiken Shelter, they saw our vet today! We are waiting on thyroid panel results to come back but the sweet chonky gal is going to need cataract removal with the ophthalmologist specialist…. Yet another expense we never planned on but I know we will cover regardless.
So, today, on our ACTUAL 10 year Anniversary, I come to you asking for a simple $10 donation.

She's sweet, she's shy, she's itty....she's Bitty!

Bitty is the ultimate dogs dog who wants to be added to your pack! She's a shy girl who won't give you all her love immediately but if you have patience and time, she will wiggle her way into your heart one shy tail wag at a time.

Her favorite activities include: zooming real fast in the yard, sniffing the fresh morning air, playing with as many dogs as she can, and asking for all the treats you have! At just 30 pounds, she's the perfect little pocket sized pal. She's just over a year old, crate trained, potty trained, and absolutely adorable 😍

Bitty's new home will require at least one other confident dog (the more the merrier though), a secure fence, and dog savvy owners who will give her the time and patience she needs to be her most vibrant self!
