Our beautiful rescue searching for her family

We have a 3-4 year old female German shepherd searching for her family. We brought her in along with her puppy when she was skin and bones. We have gotten her vetted, some healthy weight put on and ready to find her family.

Nova gets along good with other dogs, likes kids, doesn’t mind cats, but her biggest flaw is she needs to be crated when feeding if there are other dogs in the home. She will not attack, but she will snap at another dog if they try to eat from her bowl.

When I take her bowl, or touch her food while she’s eating, she doesn’t have a problem with that. It’s just another dog trying to eat out of her bowl is not Ok with her.

Other than this, Nova is the perfect example of a loyal, and loving German shepherd. She just had a very rough start to life.

Super bittersweet that our last baby is on her way home to Ohio this morning ♥️

I’m going to miss the hectic-ness that comes with having a litter of puppies in our home, on top of school, 4 kids, sports, remodels, and everything else we have going on!

Also! - I have gotten a few messages in regards to intakes for older dogs/ or breeds I’m unfamiliar with. While I wish I could help every single homeless dog, I just can not. I still have one rescue that I have been trying to find a suitable home for, since June and we are in the process of redoing our kennel space for our dogs and our rescues. I do all of this on my own, my own dime. I do not go through our local animal control as I simply just try to help when I can as we have the space and I typically have the time!

Thanks for listening to my small rant, I hope everyone has a blessed Sunday and enjoy the sunshine ☀️ we’re having here in Michigan today!
