🖤 Meet Big Boy 🖤
A silly boy with a BIG heart
Big Boy is one of those cats who reminds us just how special rescue can be. ❤️
When Big Boy first arrived, he wasn’t sure that people could be trusted. He’s still learning that hands are here for head pets, cuddles, and love, not to hurt him. And he’s making progress every day.
Once he gets comfortable with you, his sweet personality really starts to shine. He’ll come over to greet you, climb onto his cat tree, and roll around upside down asking for head pets. 😂❤️ I affectionately call this his “silly boy” routine.
Recently, something really special happened. Big Boy started playing for the first time! 🥹 Watching him discover that he can relax, have fun, and just be a cat has been so rewarding.
Big Boy does need someone who understands that trust takes time. When he gets scared or overwhelmed, he may swat or give a little warning bite. He isn’t trying to hurt anyone. It’s simply his way of saying, “I’m scared, please give me a minute.” Usually, he doesn’t even leave a mark. As he continues to learn that he’s safe, we’re hopeful this will become less and less of a concern.
As for other cats, Big Boy isn’t a huge fan of feline roommates right now. We’re working on it, but we think he would absolutely thrive as the only cat in his home. One calm, compatible cat may be possible with a slow, proper introduction.
What Big Boy really needs is patience, understanding, and someone willing to let him become the cat he knows he can be.
Because underneath that cautious exterior is a big ol’ sweetheart who loves head scratches, cuddles, and rolling around like a complete goofball. 🖤
Big Boy doesn’t need someone to “fix” him. He just needs someone willing to give him time.
Could you be the person who shows this silly boy that he’s finally home? 🏡🐾
