Did you know our whiskers serve as an incredible built-in GPS?

These sensitive hairs, called vibrissae, allow us to expertly navigate tight spaces, detect even the slightest air currents, and identify nearby objects in the dark!

Typically, we have 12 whiskers on each side of our face, arranged in precise rows. They’re deeply rooted in our skin and linked to nerves that send vital signals to our brains.

Please never trim our whiskers—they are essential for our orientation and well-being!

Now you are smarter... you're welcome!

Whether you're firing up the BBQ, enjoying the sunny afternoon, or having a relaxing day, we want to help make it a safe and fun day for every member of your family.

Here are a few pet-friendly tips to keep in mind while you celebrate:

🎆Keep pets away from fireworks and loud noises: Create a quiet, cozy space inside with their favorite toys and a little background noise.

🌭 BBQ safety: Keep human food out of reach, especially onions, chocolate, and cooked bones, which can be harmful to pets.

🌞 Stay cool: Make sure your pet has plenty of shade and fresh water if you're spending time outside.

🆔 Microchips & ID tags: Ensure your pet’s microchip and ID tags are up-to-date, just in case they get scared and run off.

📸 Lastly, don’t forget to share your pet’s festive selfies with us through our mobile app! We’d love to see how you’re celebrating! https://app.myvet2pet.com/info-card/U2FsdGVkX191APhhkrligq48H7xsNA%2FW%2Fi9mi5pprx%2FloEIJ9P6eeZF5NmUGXppJ

Question: What do Marlo, Piper, Creechy, and Rosie all have in common?

Answer: They are microchipped!

May is Chip Your Pet Month!

Dogs and cats can get loose and become lost in the blink of an eye. Whether they are startled by loud noises, squeeze through a cracked door, or simply break free from their leash, it is something we never expect. Pets can become lost very quickly, and if they have no I.D. tag, a microchip may become their only chance of being returned home. If your pet is microchipped, it is VITAL that you register their I.D. number with your information and always be sure to update the account if you move. While microchips do not have GPS capability, shelters and veterinary hospitals carry universal scanners that allow them to look up the unique I.D. number if your pet is brought in. It is never too late to microchip your pet, and it can be done at any age!

April is National Heartworm Awareness Month! This month is to educate our clients on what heartworms are and the importance of heartworm prevention. Heartworm prevention plays a vital role in keeping our pets healthy. With climate change, there has been an influx in cases of heartworm disease in areas that used to not be affected as badly. While heartworm disease is treatable for dogs, there is not currently a treatment protocol for cats. This disease can cause chronic lung issues, heart failure, and even death if it is not treated properly. Shop our online store using code 10FURFAMILY to get your pet's prevention refilled today https://allcreaturesveterinaryhospital12.securevetsource.com/index.pml

Join us in celebrating Cynda on her special day - Happy Birthday, Cynda!

Today, we shine a spotlight on Cynda, an indispensable part of our team and our resident early bird and busy bee. Cynda consistently arrives early to her shifts, meticulously preparing for our incoming patients and setting our entire team up for success right from the moment they walk in. Her commitment to our patients is unwavering, as she always anticipates their needs and advocates for their best interests. She is constantly on the go, except during her cherished lunch breaks, when you can find her in our lounge, engrossed in her latest book.

Daisies, Cynda's birth flower, symbolize new beginnings and the joy of life—qualities that perfectly embody her vibrant spirit as a vital and newer member of our team. Cynda infuses creativity into every project she touches and is eager to organize team-building events that foster growth and create memorable experiences. It's a privilege to know Cynda, who often surprises us with her culinary delights, introducing us to unique snacks and meals, like her flavorful sweet potato chili. This week, we even have a surprise Easter bunny hopping around the hospital, and many of us suspect it’s her! Cynda’s selflessness truly stands out as she goes above and beyond to brighten others' days.

In recent months, Cynda has focused on settling in and strengthening her relationships with both teammates and pet parents, fulfilling a crucial role in our hospital. Her innovative approach to enhancing our operations helps ensure a smooth flow for patients and their families. Besides her patient care duties, Cynda demonstrates a strong commitment to keeping our hospital clean and orderly. Her dedication encourages those around her to adopt the same high standards.

Cynda’s genuine compassion significantly impacts our team, enabling us to provide exceptional service to our patients every day. Thank you, Cynda, for choosing to be part of our team and playing such a vital role in our success while offering unparalleled care to our community. Let’s take today to honor and celebrate her!
