Did you know, Groundhog day was formerly known as Hedgehog Day?

National Hedgehog Day is a Roman tradition preceding the modern ‘Groundhog Day’.
While groundhogs are native to North America, various animals have been used in Europe to help predict the end of winter and the coming of spring, including the hedgehog. 🦔❤️

February is Spay and Neuter Awareness Month!

Did you know that spaying or neutering your pet can benefit their well-being and the community? Having your pet spayed or neutered helps control the number of homeless pets and the number of animals that find their way into shelters.

While not a guarantee, having your pet spayed or neutered can also reduce the risk of some cancers, the desire to roam, and some behavioral issues like aggression or marking.

The ideal age to spay or neuter your pet depends on their size, species, and age.
You can ask your veterinarian for advice about the ideal time to spay or neuter your pet.

For January's pet of the month, we want to remember Sammy Jones. Sammy visited us multiple times every week for the last several months. Sammy was one of our favorite patients. He was a spit fire with lots of personality and is missed greatly.
