(WARNING: SURGICAL CONTENT SHOWN)

Did you know up to 80% of unspayed female rabbits over the age of 3 develop uterine cancer?
Thatโ€™s why spaying is one of the most important preventive procedures we do. It also helps prevent unwanted pregnancies and pyometra (infection in the uterus), and reduces the risk of other serious reproductive disease.

Spaying can also help reduce hormonal behaviors such as aggression. Many owners find their rabbits become calmer and more affectionate afterward, which can make it easier to build a closer bond with your bun.

Have an unspayed rabbit? Weโ€™re happy to help. Call us today to discuss pricing and scheduling for your sweet bun.

Meet one of our amazing blood donors โค๏ธ๐Ÿฉธ

This incredible ferret donated blood to help another ferret in critical need. Blood donations can be truly lifesaving, and today this little one made a huge difference for a patient who needed it most. Weโ€™re so proud of this tiny hero and so grateful to the families who help make moments like this possible.

Weโ€™re always looking for blood donors of all species to help support pets in need of emergency transfusions. If youโ€™re interested in having your pet considered as a donor, please contact us to discuss whether they may be a good candidate.

Miss girl gave us quite the scare when she came in severely lethargic and struggling with egg binding, a condition where an egg becomes stuck and cannot be laid normally. ๐Ÿฅš๐Ÿ” Egg binding can quickly become life-threatening without treatment, causing pain, dehydration, weakness, and serious complications.
She was hospitalized and received IV fluids, calcium, supportive care, and close monitoring to help stabilize her, keep her hydrated, and encourage her body to pass the egg naturally. When the egg still could not be passed safely on its own, it was manually removed under sedation.
After a few more days of supportive treatment and monitoring, this sweet girl made an incredible recovery and is now back to acting like herself again. Cases like these are a reminder of how important it is to seek veterinary care early when birds show signs of lethargy, straining, decreased appetite, or changes in behavior. Weโ€™re so happy to see her feeling better. ๐Ÿ’›
