Attention all pet owners!

This is a reminder to make sure your furry friends are up-to-date on their rabies vaccinations!

Rabies is a serious and deadly disease that can be transmitted to humans and pets through the saliva of an infected animal, usually through a bite.

There has been previous cases involving feral cats and raccoons in Cedarhurst, Valley Stream, Hewlett, and Roslyn Heights.

We want to ensure your pets are protected.

Why is rabies vaccination so important?

🐾 Rabies vaccination is required by law for all dogs, cats, and ferrets over 4 months old.

🐾 It saves lives: Rabies vaccination is the most effective way to prevent the spread of the disease and protect both humans and animals.

🐾 It's a safety precaution: Even if you don't plan on taking your pet outdoors, there's still a risk of exposure through other animals or accidental escape.

🎅🐾🎄 What a magical day at the Pet Health Center for our annual Santa Pictures event!

It was heartwarming to see so many furry friends and their humans spreading holiday cheer.

A HUGE thank you to everyone who came out to join the fun and especially to those who generously donated to our Sallie Fund!

Your contributions make a real difference in providing care for those pets in need. ❤️✨

Santa even took some time to visit our shelter pets in our medical center and in the shelter who are still looking for their forever homes! 🏡 If you're thinking about adopting, now is a great time to give these lovable animals a chance at the life they deserve!

We hope to see all your smiling faces again next year!
