The judges we select for our National help shape one of the most important events of the year. These are the people who will evaluate our dogs, recognize outstanding accomplishments, and contribute to the experience we remember long after the show is over, in the ring, the whelping box and beyond.

But here’s the thing: you can’t have a say in the outcome if you don’t participate.

Whether you show one dog or twenty, compete in conformation or performance, or simply love this breed and the community surrounding it, your voice matters.

Don’t sit back and assume someone else will do it. Don’t assume your vote won’t make a difference.

Please deposit your Futurity/Maturity checks from your winnings at the 2026 National Specialty!
The USASA Treasurer reports about 15% of these checks remain uncashed. They will no longer be valid after mid-October.

Good Morning All USASA Futurity entries. Just a reminder: If you have a "conflict of interest" send your email to [email protected] before closing!
USASA Futurity Rules
"If “conflict of interest” arises (i.e. co-ownership or co-breeder with the Futurity Judge), an explanation must be provided in writing to the Futurity Chair by close of the National Specialty Regular Entries. If approved, entry fees may be refunded for Individual dog only but not Litter nomination fee. Refunds only. No substitutions/changes. No dog/bitch may be dropped or exchanged for another entry."

Hi All, Hope you are finding it easy to enter your Futurity Nominations with MBF for 2026 Nationals. If you are entering online, notice that when you Select Classes, there are several drop down options for Additional Classes. Here is where you will find your Futurity Entry Classes by Division. Simply choose the proper Division for your entry. (It was listed on the Individual Nomination confirmation letter you received from me) You can also enter Sweeps etc. using the Additional Classes option.

It's almost Futurity/Maturity Time at the 2026 USASA National Specialty! Entries are now open for all dogs Nominated for the 2025 and 2026 Futurity. Because I'm getting questions, I want to post some information here.

Yes, the Maturity Divisions are the same as the Futurity.
Division 1 - Born October 1 - December 31 (Oldest puppies)
Division 2 - Born January 1 - March 31
Division 3 - Born April 1 - June 30
Division 4 - Born July 1 - September 30 (Youngest puppies)
Check the date of birth of your entry to determine the Division they are in.

Please read your confirmation email from [email protected]. All Individually Nominated dogs from the 2025 Futurity are eligible for the 2026 Maturity.

Remember, when Nationals entries open, per the Futurity Rules, you must follow these steps:
Step 1: Enter your puppy/dog in a Regular class with the Superintendent, via online or paper entry.
Step 2: Enter the same Puppy/dog in the proper Futurity/Maturity Class with the Superintendent, via online or paper entry. If using online entry, use the drop down menu for Additional Classes to find the appropriate Futurity/Maturity Class.

The Superintendent creates the Futurity catalog from these steps and if you are not listed in the Futurity catalog, they will not let you show (per AKC rules). So, just make sure you add both classes for your Futurity entry at the Nationals.
The Superintendent may change these rules at their discretion.
