This is the last of the items in our pantry. It's all outside free pick up. Doggie diapers, cat litter litter pan linners, bowls, small blankets, dog food, cat food, paper towels, cat carrier, ice cream buckets, and 2 out door feral Rubbermaid houses.

Got some old ones that you need to replace? Bring them to us!! We use them for hospitalized and surgical pets!

*when donating, please only donate pet food. Make sure pet food is in sealed bags with visible best by date. We can not accept food 6 months past best by date. We do not have the room for pet supplies. Thank you.

Hey folks, it's almost Christmas. There are so many puppies and kittens out there waiting for their new homes. Children love puppies and kittens!!, face it , we all do. Sometimes we fall in to a excited phase and think ohhhh I want to get myself or the kids a puppy or a kitten for Christmas. Please consider that this is a commitment that lasts a few years. This is not a disposable item. This is not a cheap commitment. There are regular veterinary visits, spay, neuters and yes sometime emergency visits. There's food, toys, litter, training.... the pets that we aquire are not free. You have committed to them. If you end up moving you take them to the new home, the apartment won't let you have them, then keep looking. This is your responsibility! Sorry for the rant. Our responsibility here at Northern Michigan Community Pet Center is also to help advocate for our pets. This is part of helping our community be aware that pets do matter and they are not disposable at any time. Yet we also do understand that unforseen situations do come up as well. Hopefully we can be there to help during those times. If you are prepared to take on a pet and have considered all of the needs that will be required then we certainly would love to help advocate for you and find you a family friend. Happy Holidays!!

We had put these foods specifically on overheard Traverse City, to make sure this food did not go to waste. This is a prescription food, you will need to have a prescription to recive this food. Thankyou.

We do have other foods available for families in need. Dog & cat, as well as some litter.

We are taking family names starting 11/15.
Families must fill out the application that will be provided for them. You must be only using ONE AGENCY. We will be selecting families from applications. As many of you know from previous years, this program takes a village to do.
Please donate.
If you want a family to adopt for Christmas please send me a message with “I want to help” and the family size you want to adopt. We will have hundreds of wish lists for families on the 15th.
