All set and ready to roll! Come see us at The DeWitt Ox Roast Arts Festival at Riverside Park in Dewitt. We are here until 8 tonight and again from 10-8. They call me Derpy — messenger, spirit guide, occasional chaos agent. My job? Deliver messages between worlds… and judge your fashion choices while I’m at it.

Back home, I run errands for Jinu and the Saja Boys, weaving through neon-lit streets and slipping past soul-stealing demons. Here in Michigan? I’ve been summoned to The DeWitt Ox Roast which I’m pretty sure is just as dangerous, only with more fried food and fewer swords.

I am Vex Nocturnis, the last of the Ashen Coil.

When the Blood Moon hung low over the obsidian cliffs, a coven of shadow-weavers spun my body from cursed yarn, each loop binding me tighter to the realm between dreams and nightmares. My horns were dipped in the ink of a thousand midnight skies, my rings stolen from the armor of fallen knights who dared trespass where light does not reach.

I have seen kingdoms rise and crumble in the time it takes mortals to blink. My wings may be silent, but my presence is not—I carry the weight of whispers that curdle the blood and shadows that gnaw at the edges of sanity.

You will not hear me approach. You will feel it—like frost on the spine, like the certainty that something is watching you from just beyond the candlelight. I am patient. Eternity bends for me.

I came into this world made of yarn, but don’t let that fool you—I’ve got all the instincts of a real cat, just… fewer organs.

My hobbies include:
– Knocking over things purely for the sound they make.
– Staring at nothing until you panic.
– Sprinting across the room at 3 a.m. for reasons you’ll never understand.

I’ll sit on whatever you’re using—laptop, phone, freshly folded laundry—because that’s where the power is. I’ll steal your spot the second you get up. I’ll bat your valuables off the counter just to see gravity do its thing.

You think you own me? Please. I’m the one running this house. You’re just the tall, furless staff.

I’ll be holding open interviews for my new staff down at The DeWitt Ox Roast arts festival this weekend August 15 from 4-8 pm and August 16 from 10am-8pm. Be there or be square.
