Phew, today was a big day! Days like today make my heart so full. I absolutely love being a stay-at-home mom to 3 little kids, and I also love having something that is all mine. Today was a rare day where I got to focus on the dogs and the kids were busy doing something else.

Petey went home this morning, but not before getting snuggles galore. George is on day 2 of his 3 day stay and made the most of every minute today! I took Benny out for a mile walk (not pictured), Harper the 15 year old Terrier mix explored her backyard on shaky legs until it was time for her next nap, and the chaos sisters Lilbits and Sweetie spent a fun hour sniffing, exploring and playing fetch. I have one more visit to see Harper this evening and then it's bedtime for me.

So grateful for days like today 💕

We had a short, but very sweet, visit from Petey. His owners are snow birds and this was his first time back here since last October. We were thrilled to see him, and the feeling was mutual! We have been watching him for just over 2 years now, and this was by far the most snuggly he's ever been with me 💕

Let's give a big welcome to George! This adorable little guy is a one year old Teddy Bear mix, and he's settling in well. He has made sure I know that he misses his mom and would like to hold a vigil at the front door until she returns, but he is also very easily distracted with treat toys and outside time. He is a sweet, loyal little guy, and we can't wait to earn his love and affection!

Shamrock just went home after his 3 day weekend stay. He was a cute little guy, and acted much more like a puppy than the 15 year old man I assumed we would be watching. He loved morning walks, nightly snuggles, and midday zoomies that had him careening into furniture as he struggled to race on the hardwood floors.

His owner was shocked to hear how much energy he had, and we agreed that he'll probably have to catch on up his sleep back home 😅

We are adding a new face to the crew this weekend. Meet Shamrock, a 15 year old Cavapoo! This is his first visit out of several that are already booked for this summer, so he will be a familiar face moving forward.

His owner has said he likes short walks and attempting to grab sidewalk snacks when she's not looking, and prefers to be around humans but isn't much of a snuggler. We can't wait to learn all his quirks and interests this summer!
